Yes, yes, yes. Thank you! That was such a slick move. I wasn't a fan of the Nembhard pick at draft time but he has been way better than I expected on the court.

As was noted in another thread the Pacers need to show Tyrese they are serious about winning. Playing
      to lose will not help.

I have to believe something has changed in the scouting department. Is this because of Carlisle?
Nembhard knows how to play….I was underwhelmed at the pick

I'm not sure I've seen a player do that before. Then on the next defensive possession, he grabbed a board and dropped Ingram with a subtle elbow nut shot
that would've made Lance proud. The dude plays like he's been in the league for a decade.

And btw that traveling call against him was BS. Just an awful call.

He also had this excellent steal against Ingram -> https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media...f_1280x720.mp4

He was watching the play from the start to see whether Ingram was aware of his presence and when he saw that Ingram hadn't noticed him, he recognized it and pounced immediately. This is the kind of stuff that TJ McConnell and Jose Alvarado (Ingram's teammate, ironically) do on a regular basis and you really cannot teach that. That's just instict.

I have a hard time believing that anybody can watch these last five games and be disappointed, because you know, draft position. These last two weeks have been an absolute blast.

Hard to like this post enough. Such a breath of fresh air and the gloom has lifted.

48 3s and only a handful were questionable. This is the modern offense I've been begging for for years. We finally have a roster and coach that can pull it off successfully. I know it's not the 90's bball that some old schoolers would prefer, but this is what wins basketball games in this era.

NBA TV had bad coverage of game. I think they showed more of Zion. Did show Turner blocking him and a closeup replay though.
They showed the records as us 4-6 and Pelicans 5-5.

They said Pacers ain't to bad. Didn't say after 1-4 start we have been killing it and as big of a surprise as any team.

Like Roy said those MF's don't ever watch us.

Can't "quote" reply to a post with a tweet for some reason but in response to that video CJ posted with the post-game celebration, this looks like easily the best locker room we've had since that 2017-2018 team. Seemed like our locker room culture was a bit of a problem during the Brogdon years especially.

Tanking is long gone but that's fine because this looks to be a decent roster at the moment. We got the crucial high lotto pick with Mathurian and the homerun trade to get Haliburton. Those two things will mold the future of our team. I've been as harsh on Pritchard as anyone, but he's had a good run recently. Getting rid of Brogdon was simply addition by subtraction for this roster. Brogdon is where he needs to be in Boston - on a good team playing within an appropriately defined role. But we weren't going anywhere with him as a top guy here.

Yes, Wemby... with all the injury fears... is the best draft prospect since LeBron by a mile. The rest of the draft, I am just not seeing where people think it is any better than last season. Again, consolidate your picks or take advantage of the "perception" that we will regress and the time value of our assets and look at potential trade upgrades.
