2021/22 Official NBA & Pacers Prediction thread

Here it is folks, time to put that thinking and prognosticating hat on and show everyone all over the world how good you are at predicting the upcoming season. In this thread we are going to do it all, we are doing both teams and individual awards for the entire NBA but since this is a Pacers fan board we will also do Pacer award predictions as well.

If that happens Domas is ALL NBA and Duarte is ROY

Duarte will win 6th man of the year, but not Rookie of the year.
Brogdon will enter the star point guard conversation (if he stays healthy).
If we’re under .500 by the trade deadline, Turbonis is done.

MVP: Embiid if healthy, Jokic if not
            DPOY: Giannis
            ROTY: Cunningham
            MIP: Monte Morris
            6Man: Nance Jr.
Coach: Billy D (I feel like I could coach that roster to a good record, which is probably a big enough turnaround to win it)

Pacers: Play-in game as 7th seed. I don't really care enough about the outcome to predict it further than that.

To add further: I don't believe in guys on rookie deals getting MIP, so they've all been disqualified in mine.

I agree with all of Peck's picks in the East and sadly I think we're looking at an 8 or 9 spot for the play in again.
In the West I'd call it as follows.
              Nuggets 1
              Lakers 2
              Jazz 3
              Mavs 4
              Suns 5
              Clippers 6
              Warriors 7
              Blazers 8
              Grizzlies 9
Why do teams tank? Ask a Spurs fan.

Murray is out till like March/April. I don’t see the Nuggets being a top 4 seed with him out

God the West is just an absolute knife fight 1-7 isn't it. I could legit see any of those teams in the NBA finals if things went right.

7th or 8th in east. First round out. Maybe win 1 game in the playoffs.

                        Pacers 43W-39L

Better than play-in, but not enough to advance.

To hell with the rest of it.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...
