    Pacers 2021/22 Rotations

    Starters
    Malcolm
    Caris
    TJ Warren
    Domas
    Myles
I do not see how Myles can be benched...so he starts. After 6 min 1st and 3rd quarters Domas sits.Domas plays 12 min with Myles together....I prefer Brissett to replace Domas @ the 4...but also can see Duarte @ 3 and TJW @4. Domas Plays full 2nd and 4th quarters. for 36min total...or 10 min each for 32 min total....Basicly Domas plays 34.5 minutes average. and no more than 36...Myles plays full 1st and 3rd for 24 min...can get 2nd and 4th 2 min each for 28 min total.

    2nd unit
    TJM
Holiday or Sumner or Lamb (whoever looks the best)
    Duarte
    Brissett
    Domas
Goga and Jackson are injury replacements as well as Craig....
Myles sits 4th quarter or plays 2 min to start.

    Finish with

    Malcolm
    Caris
    Duarte
    TJ Warren
    Domas

Hope for the best....but....predict 48 wins and 6th seed.

Pretty likely going to be accurate. Really the only thing up in the air is the backup wing minutes.

That's going to be a layup drill for the other teams. We saw what happened last year.

not likely... last year was on Bjorkgren...the year before Bjork all was good..... but we can always play future DPOY Runner Up and NBA blocks Leader....IF Domas is in trouble....

As the year goes on we will see more and more Isaiah Jackson and Myles or Domas combos

Um. Considering 2 of these guys didn't play last year and one played half a season, I'm confused as to how that lineup can be "what happened last year" lol.

Well - you have Omas in the middle. He offers absolutely zero on the defensive end.

The guys that will be getting the bulk of the minutes will be:

                  Turner
                  Sabonis
                  Brogdon
                  LaVert
                  Warren

                  Lamb
                  Holiday
                  McConnell
                  Craig

Sumner; Brissett; Duarte and Goga will get limited minutes based on match ups, foul trouble and score of the game.

We will basically use a 9 man rotation with possibly a 10th man getting into the game.

I am fairly confident Duarte will play off the bench
                    immediately

I think the lineup posted is probably pretty accurate in general, but after hearing Rick's intro press conference a while back, I don't think any guy with an injury history regularly plays full quarters. Not a big especially. Maybe I'm totally wrong about it though. I think deciding between Turner and Domas at the end of games (if they're not together) is going to be really tough. Domas is at the very least a threat and a focus of a team's defense, while Turner has had some game saving defensive stretches.

I'm not looking forward to my own "hindsight is 20/20" style gripes about these decisions after a loss. Wish the FO would make Rick's decisions a little easier.. then again I suppose it's why they got one of the very best in the business.

I am very interested to see the lineups and how they fluctuate throughout the season. There really are a lot of options, and the team can now play a few different styles. Could be really fun if we had a starting point guard.

Here's to hoping Fox loves the basketball seeds Mr. Simon first brought to Indiana, and wants to wear the colors of corn and Kinetico water.

Why do you keep pushing this nonsense ? Domas is a decent defender certainly 1 on 1 he is likely even better than Myles (1 on 1), not being a shot blocker doesn't make him a non defender, at the very least he doesn't get posted up by point guards and lose.

The layup line isn't about one on one defense. It's about rim protection in general, including trying to dissuade the opponent from driving in. Our perimeter D isn't good, and Myles can clean up a lot of it inside or even dissuade opponents. When he's the closest defender, guys shoot well below their average, which is a fact. There aren't any defensive numbers or metrics that paint a decent picture of Domas' ability on that end. With Turner off the court, Pacers were giving up like 112 points per 100 possessions. With him on as the lone center, it was like 103 points per 100, which was pretty top tier. 8-10 points per 100 possesions is pretty huge. The individual and team numbers all say Domas isn't a good defender, as well as eye test for many of us. There are ways to cover it up though, if we have the right roster and coach. I doubt we have the former, unless Jackson is ready to go sooner than later, and proves to be a defensive beast.

Every stat and every defensive measurement swings in Myles favor. His field goal percentage differential ( 1 on 1 defense) is 3rd in the league behind Rudy and Draymond. Reason why he has all nba defensive votes the last 3 years.
