Stole another one tonight! That game was exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. Great come from behind win. One win away from Group C goal. Nows where things get sticky.

I originally had us winning tomorrow at home vs San Antonio and losing Wednesday in Nawlens. Spurs have to cross the border tonight and will be on second night of a back to back (both games on the road). Maybe we can get a Pop resting players special. Regardless, we'll need to play a complete game to have a shot. If we lose we can make up for it on Wednesday though.

If we win tomorrow and Wednesday we'll be exactly on pace where I had us needing to be heading into all star break.... let's get greedy boys.

Last night should have been the first Group A win. Gonna be tough to get 3 wins out of Group A now. The loss also assures we will not get back on pace before the all star break. I have yet to come up with an explanation for what in the hell Stuckey thought he was doing on that offensive foul in the final minute. I think he panicked and choked under pressure. Sucks to have something so close be ripped away. Tough road game Wednesday going into the break. Hopefully our guys don't indulge in Mardi Gras festivities early.

Phree, you're doing a great job with this thread. To help all of us frame this discussion over time, may I suggest that you add our overall record when you started the thread as well as our running overall record, and perhaps place in playoff race, after each update? (If we happen to make a trade before the deadline, you may want to "time stamp" that event as well.)

Re: .500 finish very attainable: "Is this the one, Quinn?! Is this the one?!!!

A rare blow out win for us last night and also our first Group A win. Need to figure out how to get 2 more wins out of our 3 remaining games in Group A. Excellent momentum heading into the all star break. We were 1 possession away from having a 5 game win streak right now and also being on my outlined pace for .500. As it stands though we enter the break 1 game behind pace.

Looking back at the previous 13 games, 4 of them came down to the final possession of regulation. We walked away victorious only once. The three losses were in games I had marked us as winning. If the ball bounces slightly different on a single possession in any of those games (and Stuckey keeps his elbows down... ) we could be sitting at 9-4 in the second half instead of 6-7.

Looking ahead to the next 5 games coming out of the break, I have us going 3-2. We play Philly twice, OKC on the road, and Cleveland and Golden State at home. I'm not too worried about Philly. If any of you heard David talking to JJ last night after the game, he definitely remembered what happened in Philly on January 10th saying, "We owe them." The key will be snagging one win from the other 3. If we can steal 2, we'll be back on pace.

Thanks for this thread. I would like to see the update with regards to the game against Philly. I think that we are on the right track despite our next three games.

Not much to say about last night's win other than we took care of business. That game should have been a win and it was a win. Move along. Nothing to see here.

We have now played .500 ball since the start of this thread. We are one game off of the pace I predicted we would need. The good news is we have 2 consecutive chances to get back on pace. The bad news is its vs GSW and at OKC. If we manage to get them both we'll be ahead of pace for the first time all season. I'll be happy with 1 of 2.

Frankly, I'm amazed that as many people playing guess the score picked the Pacers over the Golden State Warriors I think the Warriors are going to destroy them actually. Kind of like the suns have been doing.

We shall see. We have actually been playing well, the game is at home and the Flo-Jos have to be worth 15 points themselves. I am not picking the Pacers, but would not be shocked if we found a way to claw and pull it out.

Curry or no, last night was a great win. This win does a number of things for the .500 push. Firstly, we’re back on pace. I had us at 8-7 through 15 and that’s where we stand right now. Secondly, it gets us another much needed Group A win. All we need to do to meet the Group A goal is split the remaining games vs Dallas and Memphis. Dallas is at home March 29 (the game I predicted PG will return) and Memphis is the very last game of the year on the road. Memphis may be resting starters by then. We also did some moving in the playoff chase. We’re only a half game out of 8th now and 1 game out of 7th.

Looks like we’ll catch a break in OKC Tuesday with no Durrant. I thought George Hill did an admirable job on Klay Thompson last night (Solo and Stuck were getting torched) but Russel Westbrook possesses a level quickness and craftiness that we’ll be hard pressed to find an answer for. Hibbert and Mahinmi will need to stay out of foul trouble if we hope to keep Westbrook in check. After tomorrow, we’ll only have 10 road games left in the season (4 within the division, 2 at New York) and the furthest one being Boston. We also only have 4 back to backs left in the season (3 of them in March). These next 10 games will make or break the .500 push.

Looking at the schedule ahead. I see us winning against Oklahoma, losing at home vs Cleveland. Then winning 7 in a row. I see no reason why we cannot win vs philly, new York twice, Orlando, Milwaukee, boston, and Chicago. This team is on a roll.

Thanks for the hard work on this thread.

I cannot thank you enough for the effort you put in this thread and for keeping it up. You're prediction (and hopes) has been on point aside from the sorry loss we attained in Philly. As long as we continue to exceed the expectations, we are good. Plus, I guess not missing the playoffs this year will really be a good testament on how tough this team is.

Also, it's fascinating that once you started this thread, we started winning. Kudos!
Pacers + Colts + Seahawks = Game mode on!

A good old fashioned whipping to end the third and start the 4th last night. We’ve been blown out plenty of times throughout the year but this game left me a little salty with OKC the way they celebrated after every made basket as if it was the game winning bucket of the NBA finals. Fleas of a 1000 camels to the crotch of OKC. Derick Rose will not forget.

As far as pace is concerned, I had us down for an L last night so we remain on pace. Friday is marked up as a W. We’ll have 2 full days rest going into the game and Cleveland will be on the back end of a back to back (they have GSW on Thursday at home). They’ll be out for blood, no doubt, after what transpired on February 6th. The schedule lightens up after that.
