Bears WR Says NFL Players Using Viagra During Games.

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall told reporters Wednesday that NFL players are using Viagra during games.

The league has focused lately on the use of Adderall among players as a PED. Tampa Bay's Eric Wright and Seattle CBs Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman each got 4 game suspensions for using Adderall. When asked about this Wednesday, the Bears' Marshall said

“I don’t know too much about Adderall,” Marshall said. “I know guys, it is such a competitive league, guys try anything just to get that edge. I’m fortunate enough to be blessed with size and some smarts to give me my edge. But some guys, they’ll do whatever they can to get an edge. I’ve heard of some crazy stories. I’ve heard (of) guys using like Viagra, seriously. Because the blood is supposedly thin, some crazy stuff. So, you know, it’s kind of scary with some of these chemicals that are in some of these things so you have to be careful.”

Viagra is an area Vasoconstrictor, it's not a blood thinner it deals with making the veins smaller to raise your blood pressure. This wouldn't help you perform in anything but sex well

There is evidence that sildenafil can enhance oxygen uptake...

It also increases perfusion rate which makes you breath faster thus pretty much making your breathing more rapid. It's not helping.

They say football is a game of inches. Maybe it is just enough to cross the goal line

That's not correct. It's a vasodilator, increases blood flow in the body. In the case of its main use, it's for a certain organ. For sports use, it can increase blood flow to the lungs which helps in situations where O2 levels are depleted, such as during athletic events. Therefore, your exercise capacity can improve. Theoretically. I don't buy that it's that helpful, if at all.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.
