This couldn't fit in the "all things Lance Stephenson" thread?

The Lance Stephenson fascination is officially more annoying than the Roy Hibbert twitter wars.

Did you really think that thread was going to work? If you don't like this thread, don't bump it. The board is boring right now anyways. I still wish we would have kept Lance.

Not bad at all. Best NBA rapper is still Iman Shumpert I think. Durant had a nice verse on that Nike Hyperizer commercial a few years ago. Stephen Jackson is pretty good too.

Makes me really want to see him dribble penetrate against us so that West can give him a forearm shiver directly into Roy's verticality, after which Lance nearly suffers career ending whiplash due to flopping on the floor so emphatically that Dwyane Wade texts him after the game "That was soooo hawt... I am soooo jealous that you have never blown in my ear... could you do that for me baby... the way you went down was soooooo special..." and Pat Riley immediately calls Jordan and asks what it would take to trade for him.

I'm a Lance fan, but not a fan at all of the N*gga genre.

Not terrible, but quite a downgrade from his all-star wannabe video.

I liked it, thought it was decent. It was a freestyle, he's got to come quick off the top of the head.....

He had some decent lines... not bad.. But honestly, everything was negated by the overuse of the word N*gga every other line... This goes for all rap... Not just singling out this particular freestyle/song or whatever
IMHO I am tired of hearing it in rap and hip hop.. regardless of who uses it .. Also if I hear one more song talking about "molly" I am gonna scream at the top of my lungs like ARGGHHH! lol

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

How about the over-use of everything. From the on stage poses to the same programmed drum beats to the "stolen" samples from other songs. Not to mention lyrics that perpetuate crime on impressionable "at risk" youth. It is beyond me how rap hasn't run it's course yet. The overall talent level in today's music(this includes pop) is the lowest it's ever been. Blame it on the American Idol/Youtube generation I guess. All flash....not much substance.

As a fan of Rap in it's purest form, you want to make sure you don't place all rap music under the same umbrella. You have some points, but many of the same points you make are similar to points that were made during the early stages of Rock N' Roll. For as popular as it is, the Rap genera of music is still relatively young at just under 40 years in the making.

If you are a hip hop fan the article Rembert Browne wrote about the original Hot N**** song is pretty entertaining, especially if you're, say, older than 26 and can relate to the article: http://grantland.com/hollywood-prosp...bobby-shmurda/

Yeah because all rappers are complete headcases???

I actually am not a fan of rap music, especially when it involves ridiculous amounts of foul language. To me there is just very little talent involved in that. That being said, this is one of the better NBA raps i've heard, although the use of the N word over and over again is stupid and for an NBA player seems out of line. I still am a Lance supporter and got a good laugh out of a few of those lines, this kid has confidence for days I wish he could share it with some of our players.
