Good points about Charlotte's front court. I think Lance will destroy us though. We may try to clamp down on him, but he'll just dish it to AlJeff for a flush. Yes, we have to wait and see and it's not going to be that long.

Yeah, I have a feeling that first matchup with Charlotte will be really interesting. I can definitely see Lance playing hero ball. Let's hope bad Lance shows up that night.

I wonder if Lance and Bird have ANY communication now?
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Yeah, I think we probably are. The core of this team is used to winning, and Hibbert's rim protecting can cover up for a lot of defensive sins from our guards. Plus, absolutely no one expects anything out of this team, which is usually when they thrive. No pressure on these guys, maybe a sense of "nobody believes in us" and a couple of guys out there with something to prove.

That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if we missed the playoffs, either. But if you held a gun to my head, right now, I'd say we make it.

Interesting perspective. Like you said, time will tell. I agree with you that we may play with a chip on our shoulder, I just think that ultimately, the lack of talent in key areas will doom us.

I am guessing they have not shared a shrimp cocktail at St Elmos lately!

This is very true. And I don't think anybody is looking for this team to win a TON of games. But I look at the Bulls last season once they traded Deng, and I think it shows that it's possible that a team full of vets that are used to winning, can figure out a way to come together and at least be competitive. We will have to scratch and claw for most of our wins but if there's anything that Frank is good at - it's utilizing the "us against the world" mantra and motivating his team to prove doubters wrong. Who knows if that coaching style has a shelf life, but we are about to find out.
