Default The Official Roy Hibbert Twitter Thread

Not sure how to embedd the tweet but that's all it says. Normally don't read too much into tweets but Roy will spit it straight.

Probably nothing at all. Just curious what he's referring to. #offseason

Who knows? It could be about Marion. Or it could be about the death of Robin Williams. Or it could be for something entirely random that none of us knows.

Well Greg Monroe just accepted his qualifying offer from Detroit, so maybe he is referring to the fact that a trade with them isn't likely to happen? Clearly, this is all speculation.

Without a doubt it could be anything. For some reason this peaked my interest.

If basketball related - Maybe about Marion not signing, or the nothingness of the presser, or his work with Kareem may have ended?

If not basketball related - Who knows? Maybe something only his actual friends would know, and none of our business. He does have a life outside the game after all.

I was about to say this. Probably meant the trade rumor about him being traded for Monroe is now over with.

True, but when he tweets publicly, speculation is fair game.

    On the surface:
"I tweeted something cryptic that will draw attention. Look at me, look at me."

    Deep dive:
If this was in reference to something non-basketball related then chalk it up as one of the millions of worthless tweets posted every day.

If it is basketball related, the sentiment drawn from the words he chose (whether intentional or not) paints the picture of a person who is disappointed in an outcome. If so, tweeting this seems unnecessary to me and creates a small cloud of negativity. He should know better than to do this. If he does know better and did it anyway then shame on him.

If I hear Chris Broussard say this on Sportscenter tonight, then we'll officially know he uses PD as a source!

Someone joked about this tweet and said let the wild speculation begin and I laughed.

    Then I saw this thread.

I kind of doubted it...but the more I hear from him the more I think he was part of the issue. I believe the Pacers are trying to trade him and that's at the root of this tweet. They were not able to get it done. So much for that. IOW, Roy will be back with the Pacers because the Pacers failed to deal him to the Suns or Pistons.
