Emmitt Holt signed with IU. Class of 2014. 6'8 forward. That's all I know about him. Yay for us rahrahrah...

No open scholarships for 2015, but I am setting the 2015 class over/under at 2.5 players.

From what I understand, this kid has a wingspan of 7'3" and wears size 18 shoes so he may not be done growing yet.

Well, Crean will sleep well tonight knowing that while it took him until August, every scholarship for next season is now filled.

Any guesses on who our 2-3 transfers next season will be? I'm going with April, Hartman and Priller.

Thank goodness. I'm getting bored with no sports to watch.

Let's predict the B1G Divisions, just to kill some time in light of the Braxton Miller injury.

    B1G East:
    1. Michigan State
    2. Ohio State
    3. Indiana (I know, I'm a homer, but we are the most experienced team in the B1G, our offense is a force and all we need is a halfway competent defense and I can see 8 wins for us)
    4. Michigan
    5. Penn State
    6. Maryland
    7. Rutgers

    B1G West:
    1. Wisconsin
    2. Iowa
    3. Northwestern
    4. Nebraska
    5. Minnesota
    6. Illinois
    7. Purdue

Coaches on the hot seat by season's end: Brady Hoke, Bo Pelini (I actually think he gets the axe), Tim Beckman, maybe Kyle Flood at Rutgers since Greg Schiano is currently unemployed.

Well I know I am a homer and all too, but I completely agree with you that if we play to our potential, which hopefully we do, I can see IU going 8-4. I am hoping to see a couple sell-outs for home games if we do as well as we are capable of. As for your rankings, I still have Ohio State winning the conference and I would move Maryland ahead of Penn State, I just am not in love with them that much this year, and I would put Nebraska ahead of Northwestern and Iowa, but outside of that I agree.

Tevin Coleman rushed for 250 yards and 2 TD's in the IU win today, this guy could have an all-time great season if he stays healthy.

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Anyone else think it almost seemed like Wilson didn't want to show our full passing offense?

    I sure hope so.

I texted that to a friend during the game. We both decided that Wilson was playing possum with the offense, and why not? Terre Haute wasn't going to stop our running game. Tevin Coleman might be the best player in the country that nobody is really talking about.

I agree with the whole post but the bolded part is very true. Coleman will be the best RB we have had since Anthony Thompson if he stays healthy imo.

I bet this is not the case for him. But for me I got screwed by two schools due to their polices on transfer students. It kind of sucks. I had a 4.0 and they wouldn't take me as a transfer because I didn't have a 2nd English. I don't know why I could take the 2nd English at their school.

it is what it is, but a lot goes into getting into a college right now, and with the polices changing next year we are going to have a lot more people not getting into college.

I'm not saying he's as good, but Tevon Coleman's upright running style when he breaks out into the second level is a carbon copy of Adrian Peterson.

Coleman is the best back in the Big Ten imo. If he was at Alabama he would be considered a Heisman trophy candidate.. I think he's that good.

Most of us in here are pretty optimistic about IU football this year (until they take a collective dump on our chests Saturday in Bowling Green), but Vegas isn't seeing it. We opened as 3.5 point underdogs against BG this weekend. If you are a high on the Hoosiers, might not be a bad wager.

The men's soccer team has won three straight 1-0 games, beating Marquette, Kentucky, and Dartmouth. I'm not sure how good any of those teams are, but it's a better start to the season than last year's squad.

I saw on another site it was -6. Where did you see that?

I saw somebody tweeted that but it was incorrect. IU opened at -6 and they are now a 7.5 point favorite.

    **Edit**
I just saw some offshore online sportsbook had BG -3 to open. Within two hours, it was changed to IU -6. Either somebody ****ed up or they were trying to induce some money on the Hoosiers. The latter seems more likely. Vegas opened at -6.

Ahhh, that makes more sense. Thanks for sharing. That -6 line makes a lot more sense.
