Default 180º Turn: 2014-2015 Season Expectations and Thoughts

I know many of you are still processing the recent event, but with one door closing other doors open.

So my main question is, what are you looking forward to now that you weren't even considering 24 hours ago?
As well, what are your general expectations now?

I'm looking forward to the first ovation I get to give Paul George. Beyond that I have no idea right now.

This era is over. Wouldn't be surprised to see Larry blow it up.

If you're looking forward to anything Pacers tonight, you're insane. Except like Joe said, Paul's return.

To see what Roy Hibbert is really made of we'll know once and for all because there will be no Lance or Paul to bail him out/deal with.

Vogel got himself another season thanks to this. I mean anything he does will be great at this point.

We will have the worst offense in the league.

I believe this team will scrap and fight much like the Bulls without Rose. Seeing PG rehab will motivate and inspire them.

If Hibbert plays at his peak we may sneak in the playoffs. Otherwise no way. But we will be scrapping for six playoff spots (assuming Cleveland and Chicago) with Toronto, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Washington, Miami, NYK. I feel like I am missing someone.

If only we had talent like the Bulls had.

Absolutely no chance we make the playoffs with West, Roy, Hill, and scrubs.

I honestly don't think the Bulls had more talent last season than our current roster has.

Noah is way better than every Pacers left. Butler is overrated but still pretty good. Gibson is a very good power forward. It's not even close IMO.

Larry Bird is probably going to get drunk tonight and bring back Kareem Rush, Maceo Baston, and Travis Diener.

Don't know what to say other than I strongly disagree with almost all of that.

No one knew who the **** Jimmy Butler was before Rose went down. I don't know how well we will do, but I believe the team will fight.

I'm ready for the "one GM told me he'd have no problem throwing a max offer at Solomon Hill" tweets like Butler got

I think West and Roy will step up. I'd go with a line up of Watson/GHill/Miles/West/Roy. I think we make the playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed.

I expect a 35-47 season instead of 55-27, but it is impossible right now to quantify
how huge of a blow we suffered. Unless whoever replaces PG steps it up to near
superstar levels, we're probably looking at being in the lottery without many balls
    come next draft.

My expectations is that we will be a Eastern Conference Playoff Bubble Team......falling somewhere between the 10th to 17th spot in the Playoff race ( just like during the JO'B years and the 1st season under Vogel ). I expect that Solo will be pushed into the Starting lineup ( if anything, I will demand it ). He will falter, he will learn, he will get up. But his #s has been called and he's going to be asked to dance. Given Bird's track record for picking quality Players in the Draft....I fully expect to see that he will be ready for the spotlight by the end of the season.

I expect that Stuckey will be pushed into the Starting lineup now that PG24 is out of the equation and CJ2 pushed into the 6th Man role.

If anything, there is a side to this that I hadn't considered. Most of last season...the offense flowed through PG24 and Lance. One is gone for good and one is likely gone for the entire season. What does that mean to the offense?

I expect that GH, West and Hibbert will step up and that our offense will be re-designed to suit a line up that flows more through West/Hibbert.

Well, everyone wanted to see something different from this Team this season......and guess what? We have the worst case scenario.....PG24 is likely done for the season and the offense and defense will likely be redesigned to focused around GH/West/Hibbert.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.
