    Default Donald Thomas again injured

Painful stuff. That's two guys that were coming off a season ending injury early on last season and once again they are out for this one too. This really sucks.

Yeah, that's the problem. I don't think anyone on this board is as big of a jerk in person as they come across on here. Except maybe Nuntius. Dude is impossibly nice.

He is a saint, cdash. If a mosquito landed on his arm trying to bite him he would tell it " Go on son, do your thing".

Going into this season, there were 5 offense players who we were excited about getting back after wicked season-ending injuries a year ago: Ballard, Thomas, Bradshaw, Allen, and Wayne. We've yet to even take a pre-season snap, and already Ballard is done for the year while Thomas's situation looks very very serious. That's 40% of the 5 players. Freaking unbelievable. This damn sport is so frustrating.

Seriously, what did we do to **** off the injury gods? What is the training staff doing?

Better for it to happen now than in the middle of the season. This way whomever takes over has as much time as possible to get ready for week 1.

Our offensive line was a huge question mark and this just makes it bigger.

The Colts are going to have to stage open tryouts by week 5 at this point.

The official news that he re-tore his quad and is indeed out for the season:

Colts head coach Chuck Pagano confirmed the news this morning: Donald Thomas' MRI did indeed show that he re-tore his quad and will require season-ending surgery. "We feel awful for Donald," Pagano said while saying that the Colts would place Thomas on injured reserve.

I can't imagine the mental toll that would take on a player. He signed with us last year and then suffers a quad tear in Week 2 that keeps him out the rest of the season. He put all of that work and effort into rehabbing so that he could get back out there this year, then he suffers the exact same injury in training camp before the team even takes a pre-season snap. I can't imagine how mentally draining that would be on a player.

    Sigh
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

It sure would be nice to see what this team could do if it had just a normal amount of injuries to contend with.

So we are basically entering the season with Mewhort-Holmes-Thornton . What could possibly go wrong with a young, inexperienced and unknown quality interior?
