****. ****. ****.
It's just a terrible situation for the player first and the team of course. Hope the ankle injury is not so serious but the mind always thinks of the worst in such occasions.
You **** up once, you lose two teeth
Until I saw it was ankle injury I went "Not again"
I think he should be fine
torn achilles... his year likely done already... damn this sucks!
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.
How many have we lost to injured reserve this pre-season?
Hope Zurlon Tipton can give us something.

You really have to feel for Ballard. He is such an enjoyable running back when healthy but he just keeps getting injury set backs. I'm pretty bummed for him (and the team of course).
****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! his season is over again
Give the ball to your best playmakers to win
**** this sport. **** this. Every ****ing year.
Down to a 2 headed monster now with Richardson and Bradshaw. I still think our running game will be ok. Sucks to lose Ballard again but we have a full backfield to take up the slack.
Wow you go offline for a few hours and this is what you miss.
I'm starting to think his career could very well be over at this rate. I mean he's not even getting hurt during the games but practice.
Starting to think Allen Iverson had the right idea...
I don't have any stats to back this up but it feels like the Colts lead the NFL in injured players every year.
We either have a terrible medical staff or we just have horrible luck drafting a bunch of injury-prone players.
I think we have a terrible medical staff to be honest at least it appears that way I mean injuries happen but it seems like most Colts players are made of glass here.
What really sucks about Ballard's injury besides another lost season for him and possibly his career is that we don't have Donald Brown to bail us out this time.
Bradshaw is also injury prone. The jury's out on Richardson as well.
Our entire training staff was overhauled somewhat recently, I can't remember the specific year but I think it was one of Polian's last two years. I've heard stuff about the LOS turf being extra hard, but Ballard didn't have either of his injuries in-game, people say the Hoosier Dome field was basically carpet on top of concrete, that couldn't have helped. I'm sure someone's looked into it but I don't feel like Googling that deep at 4am, but do we actually have more injuries than other teams? Guys like Bob Sanders I have my own suspicions of why he couldn't stay healthy outside of his kamikaze style of play. Then you gotta factor in stuff like some of the recent signings like Landry and Bradshaw being guys that were "dinged up" all the time before they had anything to do with us.
I dunno, just feels like bum luck more than anything really.
I think that too tbh and it pains me really. 2 season ending injuries already out of his first 3.
What makes it worse is that both of them not only were not in games but in practice and on top of that is they were also no contact ones. I mean wtf? It really sucks.
You **** up once, you lose two teeth
Ugh, sucks for him and sucks for the team. Here we go again. Is there a Colts fan on the planet who thinks that Bradshaw will make it through the season? I'll cross my fingers that he will, but I'm obviously nervous. Hopefully this Ballard injury isn't a bad omen. It would suck if this team's Super Bowl hopes are again derailed by a wicked string of offensive injuries.
I had my criticisms of Donald Brown at times, but it sure would be nice to have him back now.

Hopefully he's as good as his dad was on the field.
