    Here is a plus. He gets to the line a decent amount of time, and is actually a good free throw shooter.

    It would be a first. He's been tried in a dozen different roles and succeeds until he hits a wall, and then the drama starts.

    He's excelled at just about every role to begin with, but his limited feel for the game eventually betrays him, and combined with his lack of composure usually leads to some very fallout.
    Good thing it's only 1 year then. He can bee a fine scorer off tge bench for at least that long can't he?

    God I hope the plan is to tank this year and do this. Please god let it be the plan.
    How does tanking this year allow us to sign Dragic? Some of you are out to lunch. This team is still going to win 50+ games unless Paul George and David West get run over by a bus tomorrow.

    His good stretches usually last for about a month before the wheels fall off. He's never had a good season.

    I would rather they brought back Rasual. Team guy and knows the plays, unselfish, can play a little bit of defence, etc.
    I liked Rasual fine, but he largely sucked last year.

    I hope this is the case, cause it is that and it only be one year is the only way I am able to swallow this as being an ok idea.
    My thinking is: With Lance gone we lose an aggressive player off the bounce that gets to the rim. Stuckey has the ability to do just that, and has an above average mid range game as well. We addressed a shooter to space the floor and not need the ball in CJ, and now in Bird's eye, we have a guy that can attack off the bench.

    Stuckey is on a one yr deal and will want to be on his best behavior to come in, play well, and be a pro so he can get a multi yr deal next year.

    There's not much left in FA, especially at what we can afford. Low risk, potential reward of Stuckey can produce

    Yeah, that's the problem. I don't think anyone on this board is as big of a jerk in person as they come across on here. Except maybe Nuntius. Dude is impossibly nice.

    Another low IQ player that can't shoot. Lance Lite, basically.
    I don't know where you're getting this low IQ stuff about Lance. Anyone who makes the passes he makes does not have a low Basketball IQ. As for non-basketball IQ, who knows, and who cares?

    Stuckey actually has some motivation to want to play here. He has an opportunity to start on a good team and he can prove his worth. I honestly don't know if it will work out for him, but it's a last ditch effort for a talented guy on a one year deal. Even though I really don't like him I can understand the logic on both sides.

    Yeah, that's the major difference between lance's improvement and stuckey. Lance has court vision. Stuckey will pass up two wide open players to drive into traffic. in his defense, I honestly don't think he ever notices he has open teammates. Dude just can't see the floor.

    He's the only player on our current roster to ever average over 5 assists per game for an entire season at some point in their career.

    Luis = 4.5 mil expiring
    Copeland = 3.13 mil expiring
    CJ Watson = 2 mil expiring
    Stuckey = (?) mil expiring (2.5-3 mil?)

    + West or Hibbert opt out and restructure. It's doable.
    Could also stretch provision or trade Ian if necessary.

    In no particular order these 6 teams are locked into the playoffs:

    Atlanta
    Charlotte
    Toronto
    Chicago
    Cleveland
    Washington

    That leaves 2 teams to get bounced in round 1:

    Brooklyn
    Indiana
    Boston
    New York
    Orlando
    Miami
    Detroit

    Pacers should tank. This team isn't winning a championship. Build for the future

    We're not getting the first pick no matter what. And they had Kyrie already and it was his hometown. Wiggins wasn't even in his letter. I doubt he played any part.

    Oh, crap... I totally forgot that Sual was a FA too

    He was a legitimate help to our squad.

    Ugh, today sucks.

    Lance Stephenson took us from 1 seed to being mentioned in the same breath as Boston and the Knicks. Good Lord we should have maxed him and let Paul George walk, what were we thinking.

    Not calling you unreasonable, but do you think its at all possible that you've seen so much of Stuckey that it's hard for you to truly be objective? Like you know his faults so well that it's all you see when you see him?

    Look at the posts about G.Hill for example; you would think he's one of the worst players on the league from some of the comments you read on here.

    Just a thought. I could totally be off base.
