    I'm assuming he takes Lance role off the bench with the 2nd unit while CJ Miles will start.

    Also barring a trade, nothing else really left out there.
    That's exactly what I was thinking.

    Anyway, I didn't want Stuckey because I thought we'd sign him to some obscene long term deal, but if it's a one year minimum deal I'm okay with this. Not like we have many options.

    Stuckey off the bench might be OK. I still hope one of the CJ's is a starter.

    You've been very vocal about your dislike of his game. Be honest, having observed him way more than any of us, do you see ANYTHING in him that would suggest he is coachable or willing/able to adjust to fit a role on a team like the Pacers?

    He seems to have some skill, no doubt. I just hope that Frank, and especially our locker room vets are able to get him to buy in and play our brand of ball.

    Yes? No? Maybe so?
    I would rather they brought back Rasual. Team guy and knows the plays, unselfish, can play a little bit of defence, etc.

    A high draft pick would only help entice him to come here more

    I like Stuckey as an off the bench scorer. But im an optimist. Hopefully he makes a lot of posters eat crow
    I hope this is the case, cause it is that and it only be one year is the only way I am able to swallow this as being an ok idea.

    It's a one year deal and probably not much money. Well, if Donnie was still around it would have been 3/30 or something, so there's that.

    It would be a first. He's been tried in a dozen different roles and succeeds until he hits a wall, and then the drama starts.

    He's excelled at just about every role to begin with, but his limited feel for the game eventually betrays him, and combined with his lack of composure usually leads to some very fallout.

    I don't follow his game or the Pistons, so someone explain why this is a bad move? Just looking at stats, he has surpassed Stephenson's scoring average last year in 5 different seasons.
    Another low IQ player that can't shoot. Lance Lite, basically.

    Why not bring in Jameer a proven veteran. Is there nothing left in the tank?

    Luis = 4.5 mil expiring
    Copeland = 3.13 mil expiring
    CJ Watson = 2 mil expiring
    Stuckey = (?) mil expiring (2.5-3 mil?)

    + West or Hibbert opt out and restructure. It's doable.

    He wouldn't sign for the minimum would he? He's to good for that. Thinking a S&T is coming.

    I hate Stuckey the player, but I can see what the logic is here at least on a one year deal. That's pretty low risk and he's at least talented. I think Miles obviously is your starter just because he is more reliable IMO in terms of what he does, plus he is not as ball dominant. Stuckey is our attempt to replace some of Lance's slashing, which is about the only thing Stuckey even does somewhat competently. He certainly won't make us worse, but I don't think he will make us noticeably better. I am contrary to some of you in that I like that Larry is trying to keep our future flexibility while attempting to at least batten down the hatches for this season.

    A lot of this season rides on the shoulders of George Hill, not Roy Hibbert IMO. Hill must return to being the 15, 5, 5 guy he was two seasons ago before Lance started to become a more primary ball handler. If Hill can do that, then this loss will not sting as much.

    I'm guessing this contract is vet minimum? We couldn't sign him to any other amount correct?

    If the pacers are his only offer short of the d-league, he might.
