No way to know that yet. Lets give him some time to see what he can do.
True, but if he is Rush 2.0 that is a good thing. Rush's biggest problem with the Pacers wasn't his abilities, it was expectations. He wasn't going to live up to those occasional flashes of potential, but he was still a great defender (in many ways as good or better than Paul) and a really good three point shooter. If it wasn't for his knee injury he probably would be considered one of the best 3 and D guys in the league. So I am all on board with Solo being Rush 2.0!

There is still a lot of unknown around EuroShooter. Will he acclimate well to the NBA? Will he be able to play right away at a high enough level, or will he not really pan out until next season? Is he even actually good enough for the NBA? Solo is a 2/3 while Stuckey and Miles are clearly just 2's. So for now Solo is the default back-up 3 until EuroShooter can prove otherwise.
    Stuckey is a 1/2, Miles is a 2/3.

Stuckey backing up Miles isn't terrible. It could be a lot worse. Losing Lance sucks, but I wonder is there anyway that Hill could still end up a backup point guard this season? Do we have enough to give up to still go after a decent point guard?

I think he would be a good spark off the bench. Don't see all the doom gloom about this
I don't see how anyone can rave about Lance yet **** and moan about signing Stuckey. These dudes have the same game. Lance is just younger, has more size with a higher ceiling. He was also a combustible personality who at times tried to be our enforcer when we already had one in West.

In all honesty, I'd have no gripes with Stuckey starting over Miles at the 2 guard spot.

I like this pickup. I don't love it, but we needed another guard and he was arguably the most talented one available for the min.

I hope we will find out that winning cures attitude problems, and let's remember stuckeys never had frank as a coach before.

Oh my hes waaaaay better than people are giving him credit for. I think people will really like him, hes a brute at the 2. It's about expectations. Detroit paid him and treated him like an Allstar type and hes not that, so it was disappointing. Here he'll have almost no expectations. This is a good signing. There's a slight chance hell sustain it then its a great signing. Well see how a talented guy does with his career basically on the line.

It might not work out, but hes not bad, and has talent.

I'll go so far to say he'll either start or be instant offense off the bench even.

Stuckey is not a 1/2. He is a 2 that can't shoot and pounds the rock into oblivion. Terrible iq imo. I never liked his game. Even when he put up deceng numbers I hated his game.

Solo has 10 times the basketball iq that Brush ever had. Hes not as crazy quick as Brush, but he knows where to be. I seriously don't see the comparison at all. Solos not the knock down 3 shooter that brush is either, but can score in savvy sorta ways i think. I actually think they might be opposites.

I'm really amused by the overwhelming negativity toward this signing after the overwhelming negative reaction toward losing Lance. Except for maybe Tyreke Evans, there isn't a closer match to the offensive skillset of Stephenson in the league than Stuckey. They both make hard cuts to the basket, both have unpolished yet effective post games, both are above average ballhandlers and passers who like to attack the rim.

you guys are seriously overrating Stephenson. He was not that good haha. Just because otwr teams fans think its a huge loss doesnt mean we have to. Before the season ended I was praying he wouldnt be resigned.

Now Stucky isnt that bad. Who cares if he cant shoot 3s. Obviously Bird knows that hence CJ Miles signing. We need to focus on getting a better PG.

Ironically, non-Pacers fans seem to like this signing a lot more for the Pacers than we do.
