I don't know where you're getting this low IQ stuff about Lance. Anyone who makes the passes he makes does not have a low Basketball IQ. As for non-basketball IQ, who knows, and who cares?
Fancy passes does not make one's BBIQ great. Especially when those fancy passes result in a turnover about 30% of the time. Lance made those passes not because he had a high BBIQ, but because he was a risk taker. Often he would drive to the basket with no plan, jump in the air, then look around for a pass. He luckily had the body control, strength, and arm length to make the pass, but it was in no way a sign of good BBIQ. Someone with a good IQ plans ahead, he knows what his options are and will be. Then he executes the best option available. Lance doesn't do that, he is a shoot first and ask questions later kind of player.
Despite what the many pessimists on this board think, picking up Stuckey is not a bad move considering the circumstances.
Stuckey started many games at PG for the Pistons and has averaged 3.9 apg in 29 mpg for his career. His assist to TO ratio is better than 2:1. While his 3 point shooting sucks, his 2 point FG percent is around 45. At 6'5" he can play PG or SG.
Obviously he is not a great player or he would have been gone by now, but he has proven to be a decent starter. Stuckey/Watson should be able to adequately handle the PG duties or Stuckey/Miles can adequately handle SG.
Not calling you unreasonable, but do you think its at all possible that you've seen so much of Stuckey that it's hard for you to truly be objective?
Like you know his faults so well that it's ball you see when you see him?
Look at the posts about G.Hill for example; you would think he's one of the worst players on the league from some of the comments you read on here.
Just a thought. I could totally be iff5 base.
Like I said, you'll find out for yourself. Don't take my word for it.
It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

You realize we then have to sign other players to replace the ones you've just gotten rid of?
Pritchard is a pretty creative guy. We could shave off 6-8 mil by restructuring West and Hibbert if they opt out. That + the ~12 mil worth of expirings I listed + raise in salary cap and we could sign Dragic and fill out the roster. It's doable if we want him bad enough.
