Thread: Pacers + Thunder

    Exclamation Pacers + Thunder

Pacers trade: Lance Stephenson (S&T) + Roy Hibbert
Thunder trade: Reggie Jackson, Kendrick Perkins, Jeremy Lamb

    Pacers acquire: Lamb, Jackson, Perkins
    Thunder acquire: Hibbert and Lance

Why for OKC? Lance could get more money in this deal depending on the terms of the S&T. It's basically like trading him to Boston. If OKC is interested, and wants to offer him a bit more than we are? Then we S&T him. But he gets to start on OKC. Along with Roy.

    Ibaka
    Durant
    Hibbert
    Lance
    Westbrook

^Pretty formidable. A Lance/Westbrook back-court would be something to behold. Plus they get another elite rim protector in Hibbert. For us, we get a better back court. The back court of the future. Jackson and Lamb will gives us scoring and defense in the back court. Added to PG and West. That keeps us as one of the East's top contenders. We have Lamb for 3 more seasons at his current rate. Jackson would need an extension next Summer. But Kendrick Perkins expiring, plus clearing Hibbert's salary should take care of that.

    West
    PG
    Cont'd
    Lamb
    Jackson

The only way to make this work is to S&T Lance for a contract that starts less than $2.3 mil.

You should really learn how trades work when it comes to Teams that are over the Salary Cap.

If both Teams are over the Salary Cap.....then the total Salaries for both Teams for the upcoming season must be within 125% +/- of each other +100k.

For example, the Pacers can trade Players that have a total of $100 worth of 2014-2015 salaries out and take back $125 ( or 100 x 1.25% of the salaries coming in ) worth of 2014-2015 salaries coming back. But if the Total Salaries total $126....then the salaries don't match and work. They can also do a trade where they send out $100 total 2014-2015 salaries and takes back $80 ( or 100 divided by 1.25 of the salaries coming in )....but not a trade that takes back only $79.

    Makes sense?

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

But if we're taking back Perkins, along with Lamb and Jackson doesn't that clear room for Lance in their salary slot?

No, it doesn't. Hibbert's salary replaces all of the salary that goes out.

Both the Thunder and Pacers are over the salary cap.....so, the above rules applies.

Hibbert for Lamb+Perkins+Jackson works...u can even add Solo's salaries to the equation ( not saying that we would ) and the salaries would be within 125% to make it work.

BTW....u can use ESPN Trade Machine works now since they have 2014-2015 salaries....but S&T cant be calculated.
