    Default Granger to MIA

Granger will take the bi-annual exception with Miami, and hold a players option on the second season, source tells Yahoo.

Wow. Pretty steep fall in price for him. I thought he could still get the midlevel with the way other shooters are getting paid.

Are there any other former Pacers that Miami can sign?

Source confirms veteran Danny Granger has also agreed to terms with the Heat for 2 years, $4.2M, using bi-annual exception. Yahoo! first.

With Granger on the Heat, I would root for them in the Finals over any non-Spurs opponents. Houston, LAC, OKC...yuck.

Maybe this is weird, but I would much rather have a player from a franchise I like go ring chasing with a rival (especially if he has nothing in the tank) than a player I don't like. I'd much rather have Granger successfully ring chase than Murphleavy.

Yup if they are willing to sign Danny, might as well sign Lance... so then the question is where does Lance fit in that picture... would they trust Lance enough to let him play the point?

Yes, he played better in LAC than here. Got to mean he's improving right?

Also, bet Granger never thought he'd be making less than McBob on the same team.

I look for Troy Murphy to be the next Miami signing.

Well, this makes me sad, but Granger sucks now so it doesn't worry me at all. I am surprised he got more than the vet minimum tbh.

I think it's funny that two players that were treated wrongly here end up on the Heat. Stick it Pacers!

Bummer. This stinks, but it does not diminish my feelings of appreciation for what Danny did here.

We were the ones who traded him to the worst team in the league, so it is really tough to hold this against him.

He might have already told Riley that for all we know.

Well... Miami better have more up there sleeves than Granger and McBob to truly convince LeBron to stay... McRoberts is a nice role player so good signing there... But Granger sucks now, so that shouldn't persuade LeBron at all. They also just used their MLE and bi-annual exception... So where else will they get money for other players?

For all those saying Granger sucks...I really hope he comes back with a vengeance next year. Even if he's playing with..gulp..the Heat.

I think his knee is just done tbh... He looked bad here, and looked bad in LA. He will offer some defense, but he just can't be relied upon to bring any scoring anymore now.

Neither was wrongly treated here. Its a business. The decision to let McRoberts go was probably a mistake, but being in Indiana gave him a chance to revitalize his career. When McRoberts was in Portland he almost played himself out of the league he was so bad. I would say transitioning from a throwaway player in the Bayless-Rush trade to commanding the full MLE of last year's ECF winner is not bad.
