Source: Pacers reach deal with Lavoy Allen to bring him back to Indiana— Chris Broussard (@Chris_Broussard) July 5, 2014
I don't get it... Scola or Mahinmi have to be gone... just makes no sense to clog our bench with reserves when we are so thin at the 1 and 2
I'm guessing TPTB see a much bigger picture than we do and act accordingly. Otherwise I'd have to believe in the old fan, crap, wall theory.
If you get to thinkin’ you’re a person of some influence, try orderin’ somebody else’s dog around..
Cavs were looking at Rudez a month or so before we signed him, wonder if there's something with Rudez and Cope or some combo going to Cleveland in a sign and trade for Miles
Yay! I like Lavoy's game.
I think Copeland has to be gone, at a minimum.
Maybe we are signing Lavoy to include him in a trade..........or we are trading Scola......or Copeland.......or we field a team entirely made up of Power Forwards.
I have no clue what is going on at this point.

I really like Lavoys game a lot, I hope we dump Scola and he is the primary backup
Good, I like Allen a lot, he is good depth to have. Though this gives us Copeland, West, Scola, Allen, and Rudez? Someone is gone.
*waiting for the grimpasm*
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...
I would hope they keep the high fg% shooters. ie Rudez. Can Lavoy back up Hibbert? I would like to see Ian moved.
Tonight, all flags must burn, in place of steeples.
Autonomy must return into the hands of the people.
Wonder what the contract terms are. Im sure for the minimum but still. Every penny counts right now.
Also wonder if we just plan to carry as many bigs as possible
I am surprised Miami never took a look at Allen, he could have helped them a lot. I may overrate Allen since I like his game a lot though.
So where are we at now? Pushing $74M (lux tax of $77M) with the following lineup?
Lavoy is a little undersized for a center, but I think he can play it as a reserve regardless with his game. He's also not a total liability at the free throw line (although his % had a pretty noticeable drop at the line, although how much of that can be attributed to his minute drop after coming to Indiana is debatable) I'm beginning to think that Ian is joining Scola and Copeland in the most likely to move group....

Looks like we'll be paying another player to enjoy their comfy courtside seat.
In all seriousness, for the life of me I never understood why we didn't give him some more clock during the slump. Our bench has just been managed so terribly over the last couple of seasons.
I really hope he can do something here. I think there is some talent there.
Good signing. Does this mean he will play more than 1 minute per game this season?

I really think there's some motions in play regarding Copeland and Ian, I think either way on Lance coming back or not.
Oh and random topic, look at all the offers out there for Evan Turner... /green...he's got to be pissed off at that trade, he was looking at probably the MLE at worst if not more, and now he's probably going to have to do a DJ Augestin and take a 1 year deal somewhere.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."
