    Default Charlotte with Lance

On paper this team looks very dangerous. Their weak spot certainly seems to be the four. My question is what kind of leadership does this team have? Indiana had a guy like David West in the locker room to reel in Stephenson (to say nothing of Larry Bird's mentorship). Who exactly is Charlotte's veteran leader? Is it conceivable that the Lance/Kemba/Al Jefferson combo could self destruct? I could see it potentially happening.

    PG- Kemba/Gary Neal
    SG-Lance/Henderson
    SF-MKG/Jeffrey Taylor
    PF- Noah Vonleh?
    C- Al Jefferson/Cody Zeller

Marvin Williams is Charlotte's projected starting PF.

Only problem I see with that roster is Lance and Kemba. Too much 1 on 1 in the same backcourt.

Outside of Al Jefferson, this team is still really young and inexperienced. They should be decent this season, but I think a couple years down the road is when they'll really stat competing with the top teams in the conference. Until MKG gets a jump shot, the 3 spot is going to be a pretty big weakness for Charlotte.

If we thought there were problems with Lance and Turner or Lance and Roy, just wait until they put Lance and PJ Hairston together.

I mentioned this in another thread but their offseason has been hilarious because they signed Marvin Williams 2/14 mill to replace McBob. They could have kept McBob and really made some noise next year. Now they are relying on Vonleah or Zeller to really develop. Marvin Williams is barely a starting caliber player.

Lance and MKG on the wings is a whole lot of nothing from distance. Lance is not going to get those open 3s that boosted his percentage this year without PG taking the wing defense's focus.

They still don't have anyone who can shoot the basketball consistently.

I'll be very surprised if Charlotte is better this season than they were last season.

I must use a different definition of the word "dangerous."
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.” ― Ricky Gervais.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

5th seed at best? I don't like Lance's fit on that team, and contrary to popular opinion on this board, Stephenson isn't LeBron James who instantly improves the teams playoff standings by 3-4 seeds.

At least with the Pacers we had 4 years of dealing with Lance's idiosyncrasies, imagine the first time Lance and Kemba have an issue over touches. It's going to happen.

Lance will be 'Good Lance' until the losing starts to get to him. Then he goes into 'Bad-Lance-mode' - and it just gets worse from there.

Lance is going to come onto that team demanding the basketball. Whether that makes him good Lance or bad Lance depends almost entirely on whether his shot is falling because there is really only one Lance.

Yeah, I don't see it. Big Al is awesome, the rest ... they are okay. MKG is borderline bust status at this point. Kemba only starts because the Bobcats suck. He's more suited for a scoring PG off the bench, IMO. Noah showed in the summer league he's far from ready to go. Their big rotation is:

    PF: Zeller/Vonleh
    C: Al Jefferson/Biyombo

That's, in theory, a decent rotation but Zeller and Vonleh need more time to get pro-ready. Their wings are underwhelming all-around. But, they will play good defense and give themselves a chance most nights, but not a serious Eastern Conference contender.

There's no balance on that team, and they'll be starting two guards that need the ball in their hands o be effective. This isn't going to end well.

They'll be somewhere between a 6th seed and not making the playoffs.

Lance Stephenson is ball dominant and egotistical blah blah blah it won't work blah blah blah he'll be the source of all of their struggles.
