C.J. Miles is set to meet with the Indiana Pacers, according to a source.— Yannis Koutroupis (@YannisNBA) July 1, 2014
He is the guy alongside Korver who always shoots lights out when he faces us.
RE: CJ Miles...Classic Jerry Sloan quote
Miles is known as the subject of one of the most memorable post-game interviews of the 2006–07 NBA season, where coach Jerry Sloan stated, "I don't care if he's 19 or 30. If he's going to be on the floor in the NBA, he's got to be able to step up and get after it. We can't put diapers on him one night, and a jockstrap the next night. It's just the way it is." Miles at the time was the youngest player on the Jazz roster.
How can the Pacers be looking at anyone without moving a current player?
Whats CJ Miles salary gonna be, is he a mid level guy? Maybe he's plan B? Looking at his shot charts from last year, he seems strong with the corner 3, which is a nice tool to have to stretch the floor.

Let's say we re-sign Lance and LaVoy as Bird has said he wants to do. That still leaves one spot open.
Also, Scola and Sloan are on a partially guaranteed/fully unguaranteed contract, respectively. If either gets waived, then another spot/s open up.
So we'd add CJ Miles at back up 2 guard and Xavier at back up SF. I think I'd prefer Bazemore over Henry if we are passing on Meeks. I have never been that impressed with Xavier Henry for some reason.
Rush was a disappointment when he was here. That's why we traded him. He's gonna go down in history as one of those disappointing Pacers picks that we never wanna see again. Along with David Harrison, and a few others.
Anthony Morrow > CJ Miles
With the #3 pick in the 2015 draft, your Indiana Pacers!
Have not read this whole thread so maybe it has already been said, but my unfortunate prediction is that the Pacers will have more difficulty than usual attracting bench free agents this year. Evan Turner lost a lot of money coming off the Pacers bench this year. He was never going to get the QO but he's going to get next to nothing after that performance in the second half of the season. If Gerald Green had played out his contract in Indiana he would be threatened with being out of the league, while Augustin was borderline out of the league after a bad year on the Pacers bench but was able to reestablish himself in Chicago. Plumlee is a less extreme case since he was a rookie and had more time to develop, but the increase in production from first to second year on a new team is still alarming. Indiana does not seem like a good place for bench players, especially guards and wings, to maximize their value and sustain their place in the NBA.

Looks like the Pacers have agreed to a contract with C.J. miles.. Makes me anxious because the lance signing is taking way longer than I thought and hoped and now we have signed a SG
No one can actually sign until July 11th. They can agree to sign, but no actual contracts can be signed until 7/11
