Some writer for the Denver Post claims we called the Nuggets last year and offered Hibbert straight up for JaVale McGee.
So if all the rumors are true, we're willing to trade Hibbert for Dragic, Monroe, or ... Javale McGee? One of those things is not like the others

IF this is true it only confirms what is obvious. Roy is too slow for a team to win a title with. Now if Roy had DWest offensive skills you might be able to get by.

It also is most likely true as Bird wanted West and Nene. Nene at center who is much more mobile and an offensive threat than Roy. A much better combination.

Zero chance that is true. None.

Roy will probably have his best season without George. They don't have many options and he should get some extra touches/boards along the way.

seems like the best possible scenario. no point in attempting to trade him when his stock is at an all time low. see what's available at the deadline and go from there

But if he has a great season he can opt out and probably get a decent contract somewhere else, and we still get nothing for him. I can see him taking less annually for more long term cash.

Unless Larry has been hanging out with Lamar Odom, I have a hard time believing that.

Color me crazy but i dont believe that Roy will leave Indy. If he opts out, Im sure the Pacers will do everything in their power to keep him long term. He, unlike a player who will remain nameless, has been a franchise cornerstone from day 1.

Really? I'm pretty sure they are trying to move him now, he just doesn't have good return value (nicest way I could think to possibly say that)

If you mean PG then I'm with you.

    I call

The key thing to note here is that the Denver rumor is that we called the Nuggets LAST YEAR.....which I find odd since JaVale was already injured by the beginning of November 2013.

Not like he actually intended on leaving, he knew we would match it.

If I remember, he was at the airport, headed to Portland, when the Pacers caught up with him.

To sign an offer sheet he knew the Pacers would match.

We all knew the Pacers would match whatever offer sheet he signed.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

Greg Monroe has signed the 1-year qualifying offer to stay a Piston for one more season at $5.5 million.

He's unquestionably the best player ever to take that option.

There's no way this ends well for Monroe. David Falk i get is trying to save face and get leverage in future negotiations with other clients. But Monroe...there's no way this ends well for him.

Is he going to get offered more next summer than the 4 year $58 million the Pistons offered? If not then he just pissed away roughly $10 million so he can be in limbo for an entire season.

What would be the MAX offer that he can get from the Pistons?

How does that compare to the MAX offer that he can get from another Team?

Some Team will offer him a 4 Year MAX Offer next season....no doubt in my mind.

max offer possible from the pistons was 5/80, I believe. Next year it should be something like 4/68.
