Saying that you are "sliding into your girl's DM" is just a Twitter joke that he used in a silly way.

look on the bright side... if we can't compete in the near future with what we have then in the summer of 2016 when a lot of big free agents hit the market and cap will raise through the roof then we can sign plenty of people since Roy, West, Lance (now wont be) and Mahinmi won't be on the books. Lots of good talent in that summer... just a long ways away

Honestly when I heard the Stuckey rumours, the second thought immediately was our title chances and the third one this:

You **** up once, you lose two teeth

But where was/is Larry's plan B? Rodney Stuckey? He could've easily dealt Hibbert or Hill by now. In an off-season where Jeremy Lin and Raymond Felton were successfully traded.

With what? The Pacers have no money left. It would have to be a S&T. Then who would Detroit be willing to take from the Pacers?

Cope maybe, definitely Ian. Regardless, Stuckey blows.

They don't need anymore bigs. I was hoping we would also take Monroe but you can't do 2 S&T correct? Maybe we take Josh Smith with Stuckey and give them West. Flip Stuckey and Hibbert somewhere else.

Probably something cheap like a 2nd rounder, maybe Scola?

Just curious, what is the big problem with Stuckey? He averaged the same amount of points as Lance but in less minutes. I didn't watch the Pistons much.

Swapping Smith for West is a double edged sword. Getting Josh greatly improves our athleticism but at the cost of team chemistry and leadership that West provides. That would be damning.

Also, seeing as Josh is a bonafide chucker, it would suck to see him build a monument to himself night after night with the amount of bricks he launches.

Obvisioulsy, George Hill. I added the G. So that people wouldn't get confused as to whether I meant Solomon.

This off season is looking so bleak right now.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

Because it is hard to fathom that any sane person would seriously think that Rodney Stuckey is a better basketball player than George Hill.

Even if that person is in Rodney Stuckey's family.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

You make good points. But...... we're gonna have to put something on the floor to sell tickets. And yes, we still have Paulie gold but, losing Lance and trotting out Stuckey is not gonna go over well with the fan base. Moving West for Smith would be a start. We're down 1 slow big. At that point, Roy fetches two back court pieces and we're back to contending again.

I've been hearing he has an extremely low basketball IQ to go along with a terrible attitude.

I just posted this on another thread, but there are more people talking here, and I would like to see your thoughts:

Just realized that Shelvin Mack might be available. Atlanta has made a qualifying offer. I don't know if they would match a higher offer or not. But he is underutilized by Atlanta. He has a great assist/turnover ratio and shoots pretty well. He is unusually mature and a solid citizen. He is loved in INDY. We ought to take a shot at him. Maybe a sign-and-trade.

There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.
