He means he is a guy with a lot of assumed potential, but has never shown it consistently, so he never gets consistent playing time.
He's been on Minnesota, Denver, GSW. He put in work on GSW. Once he got to Minnesota though......... Larry tried to trade for him once I remember. He saw the same thing I did obviously, potential. I think that deal was involving the Knicks somehow. That was also the year we went after Mayo for the 1st time.

Naw they've said they want to keep Hill. Saying they want to upgrade the PG position doesn't mean get rid of Hill. He can be used elsewhere on the team besides starting PG.
Unless it's backup PG? That means CJ is gone. I'd rather have CJ than Hill. Hill will suck at manning our new bench.

Exactly assumed potential, I saw a bunch of potential in him as well, but he has not been able to get it together and stick anywhere.

Would be a good starting 2 guard for them and allows Wiggins to come off the bench and play with a scorer in Waiters.

Coaching searches take time if the right coach isn't out there. Look how many teams are grabbing coaches from the college ranks now. Replacing a player is easy depending on their position, and the assets you have to retrieve a replacement.

I don't blame him for Minnesota. I mean most of the players who were on that team during Kahn's tenure aren't there anymore. Denver's SF spot is all screwed up. It's a revolving door. Wilson Chandler, Jordan Hamilton, Randolph.

Nah, I think Miller is a bench player at this point in his career. Besides, I would hate to see Miller try to defend 2 guards. They would eat him alive. Wiggins needs to start. Playing with LeBron would do wonders for any young player's development.

Exactly zero coaches were hired from the college ranks this offseason. Brad Stevens was hired last season, and the then-Bobcats hired that one guy who wasn't even a head coach at St. John's and then axed him after a year--that was two years ago.

Not counting the various offers and inquiries that were made though. Albeit never accepted.

True I think him guarding 2's might not be optimal, you could always have him guarding the 3 and Lebron on the, but I think you need to have a 3 point shooter next to Lebron to get the most out of what he offers, it will make it easier for everyone especially allowing Kyrie and Lebron added room to drive, even Bennett for that matter, and I do not think that Wiggins starting at the 2 is going to stretch out the defense enough to offer much. I am pretty sure Wiggins will get a bunch of time still to start next to Lebron

I just like that I can make a post about Celtic Pride on here and people know what I'm talking about. If I talked about it at work or with some randoms at the bar or something I'd get blank stares.

My gut is Chicago is getting rid of these random players to cut money to sign Lance. That would be a very good Bulls team

My count puts them at 59 million dollars for 8 players. They would need to get rid of Taj to have enough room to sign Lance. If that is the case, lets work out a sign & trade, lol

Greg Smith was scheduled to make a whopping $948,163
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Something interesting to note, I have heard two different people talking about the early fallout of the FA shakeup in the Eastern Conference. Both of them noted Cleveland, Chicago, and Miami. One of them even mentioned Toronto and Washington. Guess who was not mentioned as a contending team by either person. That is right, your Indiana Pacers. We are back to being the underdogs. Nobody is talking about us after the "meltdown" and relatively quiet off-season. This is where our guys are best mentally.

Screamin A just mentioned the Pacers today among the East favorites.
