I'm sure you can find plenty of movies you LOVE that have a 6 or less rating on IMDB/RottenTomatoes lol

So you are saying it's good?

And still the Pacer's do little. It's getting a bit frustrating.

What exactly should we do? Trade Hibbert for pennies on the dollar? Trade away an asset or take back a bad contract just to move George Hill? Trade Paul George or David West?

I am not just referring to you, but I don't get what some people want Larry Bird to do. I mean look at the Knicks. They make wholesale changes regularly, how is that working out? The Nets had huge wholesale changes last off season, again, how is that going?

After the Spurs lost to Memphis in the first round did they overreact?

My point is lets focus on being "smart" not "active". Given what is most likely on the table staying put and adding guys like Miles is smart.

    Ivan as a stretch 4? I didn't know...

So Dallas likes Ivan Johnson as a stretch 4 and a 5 who can hit threes? With this diverse skillset I am sure he is going to be getting at least 8 million per year, right?

Larry made his bed with these starters and with the big contracts they have and the way they melted down last year, there is very little he can do right now. He has to ride these starters for better or for worse. That should make everybody a little nervous though considering what we witnessed the last few months of last season.

The contracts that we've given out in recent years don't look too bad when you look at some of the insane contracts that have been handed out this off-season.

Based on recent history, when things are quiet, there is a good chance Larry is working on a deal.

The mid season trade came out of nowhere, the Scola deal was a surprise as well as the GHill deal.

Hill's gone period. Not sure about Roy, although one can hope. But when you listen and read what Larry has said so far this off-season about the point guard position. There's no room to add a new point guard, and keep Hill. He's gone, just a matter of time and for whom. Roy is a bit more murky.

I just don't see, barring a trade that brings us a PG, how Lance isn't a Pacer this next season. Even if we have to pay him 10-11 million a season. Bird went and signed another stretch 4 in Rudez. So that makes Copeland expendable, or that makes Scola expendable. Keeping Scola or Copeland over Lance makes us a stronger team? NOPE!

Not exactly. I'm just saying it's unfair to judge by that. Usually people who love those movies saw them when they were considered "newer." Now a days when I see old movies that people consider classics it's hard for me to get into them and vice versa. I turned that movie off and assumed had I seen it as a kid I would have probably loved it, but those sites never do some movies any justice. Sometimes when I look up info about a movie I love or consider great the ratings throw me off lol

    Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 3h

SMU coach Larry Brown has told associates within basketball industry today that he expects Mudiay to leave SMU, sources tell Yahoo.

Number one, spelling errors aside, is anyone really shocked by this?

Number two, the Lakers are still looking for a head coach........

In some cases, it's better to have cap space than an overpaid player. In other cases, it's better to have an overpaid player than nothing.

5 mil isn't so much. Lots of good teams have much more dead weight. How much dead weight is there on the Pacers? If we looked through the Pacers contracts and adjusted them to what they should be paid, we'd probably save some 10 mil at least. And the Pacers are a good contending team regardless. A team that's under tax as well. Dallas has ability to spend much more than the Pacers do.

And Dallas is working with a deadline. They are trying to be as good as they can be for Dirk's last 3 years or so. And Dirk actually took a paycut for them to add a good player this year. They couldn't just wait for a player who's both a great fit and cheap. Overall, their flexibility looks great going forward. Parsons will be a bit overpaid, but Dirk and Monta will be underpaid. They will have enough cap room to add another max player next summer.

And you know, if they follow such a drastic strategy where they'd rather waste Dirk's final years than overpay anyone good, then Dirk might just see no reason to take any paycuts.

    I think they did well.

Now Houston, they could've had Parsons, Lin, Ariza and 2 picks in the 2015 draft. Instead, they have Ariza and one pick in the 2015 draft. They lost Parsons on a 1 mil contract, a 1st round pick and Lin, with nothing in return. That's an obvious asset loss.

They got Boozered by Bosh, so it's not entirely their fault. But it's a very bad offseason for them.
I actually would agree with that, I just don't think it's gonna hurt them much in the win column.

However, considering they could've had Parsons on the cheap, still traded and Asik for the first rounder, dumped Lin, and then signed a player for around what they are gonna pay Ariza I see what you're saying......we will see what happens.

    don't turn blue

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I feel sorry for A. Randolph. Guy is a good player who's never gotten the proper opportunity to show it.

Easier to replace a player than it is a coach.

Naw they've said they want to keep Hill. Saying they want to upgrade the PG position doesn't mean get rid of Hill. He can be used elsewhere on the team besides starting PG.
