You think that the Cavs are going to have him defend the rim? That will be the job of SideShow Bob or the Birdman ( I'm guessing he ends up there as well ).
I don't think the Cavs will have anyone able to defend the rim. I think their defense will be very suspect.

He's not a rim protector. But hes the best defensive rebounder in the league. So no he is not a bad defender.

Almost everyone has a weak spot on defense.
Best defensive rebounder vs best rim protector? Ya I will take the guy who isn't Reggie Evans.

Wow. I don't know why Bosh would turn down a chance to play with Howard, Harden, and Parsons and stick with a rapidly declining Wade. I know they're in the West, but that's still a good playoff team.

Other than the extra year of max money, does Riley have something else up his sleeve?

118 million dollars makes pretty much anyone a "South Beach guy", especially a 3rd wheel in Bosh.

Bosh is about to be the best player on a 2nd round team. He's not Lebron, but you guys give him no respect.

I give him respect...but c'mon...that's flat out over-paying the guy to keep him from bolting.

Agreed. He's just not worth that much $$$. If I was a Heat fan, I'd rather just basically tank next year and then focus on building the team up in 2015 and 2016. They're probably going to overpay for Wade too since they'll feel guilty about him opting out only for Lebron to leave.

The Heat are going to suck..............
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

I'd say only a fraction of actual trade proposals gets made public. You can't trade Love for a bust(Bennett, at least he's on that track), and a mediocre SG in Waiters and feel good about that. I'd rather hang onto Love closer to the deadline and some team will get desperate and pay big.
It's all possible. But we have some samples, we had other superstar trades, a number of them over just the last few years. It's not like we've never been here, done that. We are yet to have a situation where rumors say one thing and then boom a team suddenly trades that superstar for something much much much much better. Rumors tend to be in the neighbourhood. Maybe this case is special, but so far it all feels very familiar.

I also doubt some team will suddenly get desperate and pay a ton at the deadline for a 3 month Love rental. And Bennett looked pretty well towards the end of the season. He's in great shape now. But yes, this depends on how a team values these prospects. I don't agree with all this bust talk, I think it's premature, or maybe rather it's outdated, it's probably based on early season impressions / media. But if the Wolves don't like him at all, then they don't like him at all, nothing to say in that case.

This just seems idiotic on so many different levels from Bosh. Riley had to convince him of something.....Where can Carmelo end up other than Chicago and NY? He said no to L.A. so are Houston and Miami realistic now?

He's an all-star quality player no doubt, nothing more than that, I mean he was pretty much a Kevin Love in Toronto, big stats on team that didn't really do anything in playoffs, I mean I guess he actually did make playoffs

I would make it happen with Melo and tell Wade to take less or move on. That would be cold wouldn't it?
