In what world is Irving a pass first PG? He's a score-first PG that can pass.
Okay.....maybe Pass-first is overselling my point....but he's a PG that knows how to create for others and move the ball around. I just think that the offense will be far more efficient compared to when LeBron was in Miami.

I'd still buy low on Bennett if I were a team like the T-Wolves. No, he'll probably never live up to being a #1 pick, but he's still pretty young too. If he's the 3rd asset in a package including Wiggins+Thompson/Waiters, I think you'd have to feel pretty good about it.
Any package headlining with Wiggins is about as good of a return as you can ask for in a Love trade. Bonus points to the Cavs if they somehow were able to dump Waiters on the Wolves.

To clarify: #Cavs have an offer on the table to Minnesota for Kevin Love. The ball is in Minnesota's court. #CavsGoodKarma
I can't imagine that Cleveland offered Wiggins and Minnesota didn't snap it up in half a heartbeat.

Brandon Hayward has that uber attractive contract that is unguaranteed, so is crazy good in a trade, IIRC? Did Cleve get that?

Did Gilbert pay the LT when LeBron was in Cleveland?

This is the way that a Super team operates........the Salary Cap Management always ends up being Top heavy with a large # of Vet Minimum Players.

Either way, I think that the tipping point that the Cavs had that sells LeBron to return is getting KLove. Wiggins is a good selling point....but showing him that they are willing to give him up to get KLove so that they win now won him over. The cost of that? bumping up against or even exceeding the LT.
I don't know but, I seriously doubt it. LeBron wasn't making crap tons of money and no one else on that team had a big pay check. I can't fathom that team was near the LT.

But, Love(when he gets his max), LBJ, and Irving are going to be around 64M by themselves and increasing every year.

    putting on my Grimpin' hat...

Wiggins / Waiters /Thompson to Minny for Love
release Varejao on team option (up to 33M in cap room)
Irving S&T to Knicks for Melo
    sign LBJ with 22M left

    Love
    Melo
    James
    Dellavadova (LOL)
    Ray Allen

    bench: flotsam and jetsom

(in other words, I'm not buying this)
Why go after Melo when KLove makes more sense from a complementary and Salary Cap stand point??

    Guys, it's Cleveland!

Lets say the "90% done deal" is true. They'll find that 10% to screw it up.

The odds were much less than 10% that a river would ever burn!
The odds were much less than 10% that Ernest Byner would fumble!

Where disaster can happen, it will!

So yeah no chance Melo is going to Cleveland, Love possibly, Melo is such a big city guy, Cleveland has nothing to offer besides Lebron.

    I will be

If after all this LeBron doesn't go to Cleveland or he does and the Cavs still can't win it all.
People were talking earlier that the media coverage has almost made it impossible for Lebron not to go back home. The media backlash and the fan backlash would be insane if he ended up just going back to Miami. I will laugh my butt off if he does go back to Miami.

What an utterly depressing fallback option. Better than CJ Miles, I suppose.

Why? When you are a-Grimpin', you just don't ask why. You just crank it up to 11.

LOL Lance to Miami to continue to ruin Granger's comeback.
How did he ever ruin Granger's comeback to begin with? By showing he was more capable at the time?

Hey, the initial report was that their plan B is Ariza. Parsons is a huge step up!

Yes, I'm going to be bitter if CJ Miles ends up being the salary difference of keeping Lance vs seeing him walk.

So Danny Granger may have taken less money to play for a bad team for 2 years!
Someone else was going to offer more? And remember, last year he was bought out for a decent sum. So he really wasn't just making pennies.

Maybe they are holding out for more based off of IMHO the safe assumption that Cleveland promised LeBron that they will get KLove. No KLove....No LeBron.

LeBron expected to announce free-agent choice on http://t.co/IZdJH1909N. I'd start refreshing at time of his meeting w Heat (6 pm EST).

I assume that all of this is part of what Cleveland sold to LeBron.....return to Cleveland and we will get KLove and will do what we have to do to continue winning....INCLUDING going over the LT.

I seriously doubt the FO picked up CJ Miles forgetting the impact he'd have on what they had to offer Lance. They are offering what they planned to offer and it wouldn't matter who they spent a couple million on as well, the money wasn't going to go to Lance.

I agree. I think even though Lance was Larry's project, he knows there is a certain risk in bringing him back and will not go over the predetermined number he come up with.
