I say thursday. Then Friday is going to be one crazy day.
“This was just a taste,” George said. “I want to be here every year until I can’t go no more.”

I believe Melo is supposed to decide on Monday.

not to say Pat Knight's some bum off the street, he has qualifications, but he was roommates with Ryan Carr at IU. now you know why he has the job, all about who you know.

Lol Williams is a trash. He was a #2 overall pick too.

The Heat can start Shabazz, Wade, Deng, M. Williams, and Birdman.

I really hope this Miami off-season is as big of a disaster as it looks like.

    Your 2014-2015 Miami Heat!

    Cole-Bazzy Napes
    Wade-Ray Allen
    Marvin Williams-James Jones
    Kris Humphries-Haslem
    Birdman-Oden

I don't see Ray Allen coming back sans LeBron.

I'm betting the big 3 return to Miami and sign a few younger role players and go from there

Surprisingly, no player has been accepting to the honor of being underpaid to play with Dwyane Wade's corpse!

still early so those deals wouldn't happen yet I suppose, but is there a single guy that's signed that's been a bargain?

It would almost make me sad to see LeBron not go back to the Heat, because I want the Pacers to beat them so bad. I guess if LeBron stayed in the East there would still be the PG vs LeBron rivalry (if you want to call it that).

Patty Mills maybe. He probably would have gotten the Mid-Level had he not gotten hurt, and the Spurs got him for 3 years, $12 million. Also, Devin Harris, who re-signed with Dallas for 3 years, $9 million.

He's an ok role player. An upgrade from Shane Battier.

It would make me sad just because I hate all this team hopping. Everyone should stay with their teams, unless their teams don't want to pay them.

Strong man's Troy Murphy? Max? OF COURSE
Well, he plays defense. Troy was a specialized player who was impossible to hide. You don't have to hide Bosh. You can plug Bosh into any lineup that needs a PF. Kind of like Rasheed some years ago.

If you are a 50ish wins team, he might be the piece that puts you over the top.

Riley's pitch line for every free agent that he goes after starts with:

You will have a chance to play with the greatest Basketball Player in the world and even have several chances to win Multiple NBA Championships!

......BUT the catch is that you have to take a significant paycut in order to do that.

Did I mention that if you sign with us that you can play with Lebron?

..........Hopefully he doesn't decide to leave for free agency even if you take a huge pay cut

Did I mention that you can get free hot dogs if you decide to sign with the Heat?

..........Hopefully we can afford to pay for the hot dogs now that Wade and Bosh are expecting to get paid big $$$ too.

I really don't understand this line of thinking.

NBA teams should never trade or cut anyone either, unless their players don't want to be there....

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Hasn't been that long since he was playing but Steven Adams looks a lot bigger in the upper body in the summer league. Maybe I just didn't pay enough attention to him in the playoffs.

No you wouldn't. I have yet to see any fan stick up for not trading a highly paid and underperforming player out of some sense of loyalty.

This is a business. This is one of only a handful of times in a player's career where he gets to do what's best for himself. The door swings both ways.

There are a great number of mechanisms designed to encourage players to stay with their current clubs. If a player still wants to leave despite that, that's usually not on the player.
