I wonder if they thought about offering an exchange program for Wiggins' Wolves jersey

That poor kid. That Minnesota team is going to suck and he's going to be the fans' only hope.
Makes him no different than most any other #1 pick.

He's got one of the NBA's best passers throwing him lobs and a promising sidekick in LaVine. He's in fantastic shape to grow as a professional.

He's also part of one of the NBA's worst run franchises with a poorly constructed roster and his point guard is probably the worst perimeter shooter in the NBA, so no one will bother defending him 15 feet away from the basket. And I was not a fan of the LaVine pick.

The bulls were one of the NBA's worst run franchises before Jordan. The pistons before isiah, the jazz before Malone, the rockets before Olajuwon, etc. it usually starts with one great player and a little luck.

Yep, and the Wolves have had two great players (Garnett and Love), but have pissed away any luck they may have had by mismanagement.

This is what I'm going to hold on to this season when the Pacers are deep in the quagmire. "Well at least were not Wolve's fans"

Fortunately for them the same management is not in place this time around.

I was under the impression it was Marbury not wanting to play second fiddle to KG which caused him to leave, thus hurting a pretty good team. Plus those Timberwolves teams ran into some pretty good teams in the west then as well. I do agree the management has been pretty bad.

It comes from the top down in Minny. Glen Taylor is a crappy owner, and unfortunately for them, Flip Saunders is not much of an improvement in the management department.

Well Flip made out like a bandit in this deal though. He got 2 #1 overall picks and next years first round pick from Miami? All for a guy who has never made the playoffs and pad's his rebound stats, and refuses to take tough pills.

Ohh, they got that Miami pick? That's not bad. I thought it was Cleveland's own pick. But they are getting Thaddeus Young instead of Anthony Bennett. Bennett is going to the Sixers and Young is being saved from the Philly nuke project only to go to a situation that isn't demonstrably better. So if you are keeping score at home, Thaddeus Young was basically traded straight up for the #1 overall pick in the 2013 draft.

Could be Clevelands pick, I haven't seen any of the details myself. I like Thaddeus Young. He is a tough player.

I do too, actually. I would have much rather have gotten him at the deadline as opposed to The Villain.

Bennett is a #1 pick in a year where there was nobody else to pick (at the time).

drafted first.. played like a second rounder... heading to a team with no hope. yeah this is going to end well...

Rubio's passing is completely negated by pretty much everything else he does. He is like the anti-Tony Parker.

Granted, but if Wiggins is as good as he's supposed to be, he's going to be able to make up for a lot of that. All Rubio has to do is get him the ball in the right spots.

Yeah, if the NBA were a big track and field event instead of basketball I would like their chances.

Man - you just gave me a Jon Bender flashback. Wiggins has some basketball skills though.

Practice makes perfect and Pacers FO has had plenty of practice dealing with player injuries.

not really. we've had one of the best injury rates in the league for multiple years now, we've been amazingly healthy.

Not sure if this has been posted already........

I'd say JR Smith because he's such a good shooter. But his character is **** poor and he might end up being a distraction if we hit a rough patch this season. I like Eric Gordon but can he stay healthy? Is he healthy now? I'm all about moving West for Josh Smith though. We still need a point guard upgrade. I wonder if Larry would peddle that Hibbert/Copeland package to Boston for Rondo and Green or OKC for Lamb and Jackson if they'd bite?

How considerate of someone to create a nice and concise list largely consisting of players I would never, ever want on the Pacers.
