Absolutely. We come to this thread for basketball news. Not an argument about SAS. Please start a thread for this in the non-sports forum. Please.

Is Phoenix going to get a great price for Bledsoe since they've waited? This is what we should've done with Hill.

Yeah, but it us also an example of why PD has a non-sports forum. Even one of the mods has now given a warning. So, how about you get over it.

Exactly. Talking about SAS isnt a rumor or even basketball related. Go find an NFL forum to go talk about that.
“This was just a taste,” George said. “I want to be here every year until I can’t go no more.”

Dwyane Wade ranks Kobe ahead of LeBron....

If it were any other player I'd dismiss this, but this is classic passive-aggressive Wade.

One of George's favorite memories as a rookie was O'Brien's firing.

Honestly, they are neck-at-neck for me. Think people are already forgetting how amazing Kobe was in his prime. And he has way more hardware.

He'd play some anyway. FIBA is more friendly to smallish stretch fours than the NBA is. Durant played a ton of PF in 2012 (though that team was actually smaller than this one).

Even so, you have Anthony Davis at the 4 with Faried backing him up. Hardly a big weakness. Our starting PF in 2012 was Durant.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but Miles Plumlee is in the US select squad that practices against the national team. With the dearth of bigs, Miles might actually have a shot at making the final roster.

2 years ago, who would have thought Miles would have a better chance of making it to the World Cup than Roy, even given Roy's eligibilty issue?

Sidenote: Mahinmi, Roy's other backup, will play for the French national team

It's a $1.2 mil trade exception. I'm guessing that we won't do anything with it.

The $4.2 mil TPE that expires by the Trade Deadline will have a better chance of being used.

just making conversation, but there seems to be very little chance that either TPE gets used. Pacers are what, a million or so, short of the Luxury Tax line. Since there is no chance they go over it, I just don't see any way they use the TPE.

Since I think that there is ZERO chance that the Pacers use the Plumlee TPE.....even at 1% chance of using the Granger TPE....I am TECHNICALLY correct when I say that there is a "greater chance" that we use it, right?

What's the updated Salary Cap situation as we currently stand?

JMHO....but if there is enough space....I really think that Bird will try to shop Scola's unguaranteed Contract to see if he can get any quality Assets in return for helping some Team dump Salary. That doesn't mean that he will use it.....I'm just saying that Bird will try to use Scola's unguaranteed Contract as a trading chip to improve the roster ( yes, despite what happened last time he tried to do that ).

Between constantly plugging the Indiana Fever, having advertisements for water filters and now watching NASCAR in his spare time, Chris Denari might just be one of the dullest human beings around.

Oh I know about the motor racing. Indycar does seem mildly entertaining and I get being a fan. I am a Formula 1 fan after all, but NASCAR, I mean, hours and hours of dudes turning left.

I don't think Bird intends to dump Luis's contract at all, now. There was a chance that something might be done with it if Lance agreed to sign with the Pacers late, but since he didn't, JMO, but Bird sees Luis as the backup to David next season. With a year under his belt, to see what things the Pacers need him to do, he will be more productive. Again, jmo, but the loss of Lance will help the high IQ guys like Luis, as the ball will move more and allow them to take advantage of their smarts.

I don't know man, the shots Scola was clanking last year were wide open. I don't see how better ball-movement will help.

I haven't looked up the numbers or anything but I thought Lance and Scola played pretty well together, I think Scola just ran outta gas last year
