Lance is overpaid at 8 mil. I could agree that it's stealing but not a steal.
the guy that led the league last year in triple doubles at 23 is overpaid at 8 million yet people with comparable stats are being paid 3 - 4 million per year more than he is. I'd consider that a win for the Pacers.

hell yeah... Gordon Hayward got the max for basically the same stats as Lance
So if nobody else was willing to pay Lance more than lets say 7 or 8 Mil, but he signs here for nearly 9--then it's a steal for us? That doesn't make sense.

It doesnt matter what the stats say--Hayward got the contract he received because he could command that much on the open market. Lance obviously cant command as much, so there situations aren't related in any way.

So nobody is as leery as me to go into next season with the same starting 5 that melted down the last half of the season and limped through the lowly East playoffs? Not much bench difference either.

Better than going into next season without one of the better players on the team and no one in his place.

Lance is a wild card, but he is the only damn card we have. Maybe he screws up chemistry(I don't think he will), but we are not going near as far without him. We are not contenders without him. If Vogel can't control Lance, find a coach who can, because our team is much worse without him.

I'm with ya, with the bulls getting healthier and better and now the cavs looking like they're going to add kevin love to the mix life just got a lot tougher for us. It seems like we've always been more content to resign our guys and then pick up scraps the only way we do anything significant is make a trade and i'm not entirely sure there's going to be on out there that's going to be some no-brainer deal anyone comes along and offers us. I at least like that Bird is aware of our deficiencies at the point guard spot but not positive there's a lot we can do. Also I think we need a new offensive system to be put in place but I don't see that happening either I think it's going to be the same crap of try to get it to someone with a percieved advantage and let them try to go one-on-one and hope for the best.

Honest question. The fact that nobody else seems to be wanting to offer him a contract thays as large as the Pacers offer doesn't make you wonder about Lance even a little bit? (And yes I saw the wojo tweet about Dal if Parsons re-signs with Hou)

Oh No! Pacers Digest getting ready to have a meltdown. I don't care either way. If we get him at 9 mil so be it, but if another team wants to pay more then I'm at peace with that too.

No, we know Lance a lot better than those other teams do and we clearly want him back.

If we thought he was a cancer, we would have not offered him a 4 year deal.

Someone tell Cuban that Deng is better for Dallas than Lance.

I wasnt saying he's a cancer. I think he's immature and probably frustrated as hell to play with. I'm talking strictly about his game. No need to speculate about him screwing up team chemistry

I don't think Lance would take a 2-20 million contract over a 5/44. If Lance gets in Rick's dog house it would cost him more than what it cost Mayo.

That would be crazy if the Cavs could get Love without giving up Wiggins or Waiters...

If Lance signs elsewhere it's a net talent loss when other teams are gaining. I don't buy we're as competitive with Miles starting. Even if he outperforms past trend in new role, the bench is then weak. It would take a significant trade. In fact it might even with Lance.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

If wiggins doesn't go to GSW that trade never happens. Totally unrealistic.

The guy who tweeted that said there were still pieces being discussed. I don't see how the Cavs could pull that off. Maybe Warriors get Waiters or something...?
