Sorry, I was able to hold it back when Darko set one career high, but 2 in a row is too much for me
Only 1 point behind Bender in season point total....
If he ever scores 10, I may very well quit basketball forever. I don't think I could take the excitement.
Oh yeah, 32 team assists and a new franchise record-low 4 turnovers for the Pistons tonight, for those of you who give a damn. Carlos Arroyo would have been worth THREE 1st-rounders. His passing is infectious. He makes everyone else into pass-first players.
We all joke about him but let me ask you since you get to see more of him than me probably.
Does he have any real talent and are we just not seeing it because Brown won't play him or was he just a great euro-player who couldn't fit into the NBA system?
He's got more post moves than I can keep track of. He just got muscled out of the post before he could USE any of them.
He's had 6 field goals the last 2 games.
- 3 dunks
-a fadaway jumper from the elbow
-a double-fake over etan Thomas off the glass from the opposite side of the floor.
-A 15-foot jumper off a pick and roll.
-and his FTs all came on up-and under moves that he got pushed on underneath the rim.
Not to mention he passes like Vlade Divac used to. He's very good at hitting cutting guards and forwards underneath the rim. He always keeps his head up, which results in him getting ripped of the ball by little guard he can't see, but he also finds open men.
He made one move tonight where he stepped out to the 3-point line, fake the shot, and zipped a pass to ben for a dunk while nobody was looking.
The thing is, none of you will believe a thing I say until you see it for yourself, not that I blame you. I wouldn't believe it either.
If he'd doubled it, he'd be right there with Bruno Sundov!
If he multiplied his high by 2 and added 6, he'd have Bender's career high of 22. Then, if he multiplied that by 4 and added 12, he'd have 100 points, ala Wilt. Only then will I be satisified with Darko.
Just think, if he improves his career high 1 point each game, he'll score 39 in the last game of the season.......against Primoz and the Bobcats
But Primoz would score 40 in that game and block Darko's last second shot to preserve the Bobcats upset victory. A true clash of basketball titans not seen since the golden age of Chamberlain and Russell.
