Default Pacers / Cavs Post Game thread - 3/30

Pacers lose....yet again to Team that they should be beating.

I expect very little from thos Team.

I didnt watch the game.....so I have no idea what the excuse is this time.....but I don't really care.

I'm too disgusted to care about this Team now.

Your thoughts as to why the Pacers sucked today?

I am at a complete loss. The thing is it isn't like the pacers are losing these games by 2 points or in overtime. Pacers never lead and really are never in the games and always lose by double digits. The games aren't close.

Pacers just aren't very good right now.

Is this what we are now or are we the team that played against the Heat a few days ago. That was the team we were earlier in the season. These other games we stink

I tend to be ready to jump off the cliff during a game, and this was no exception.

The ONLY thing that is saving me from jumping off the cliff for the season is that the starters actually started executing a basket attacking offense after the timeout with about 4 minutes left.

It was too damn late, since they needed to sit down within a couple of minutes to "rest" for tomorrow night, but ... and it is a HUGE but ... if they can use this to give them a focus for the offense, it might lead us to do better going into the playoffs.

We've lost the first seed, though. Not mathematically yet, but it is inevitable.

A month or so ago when people were first sounding alarm, I was like a confident Titanic passenger after the iceberg collision who arrogantly balked at the notion that something was wrong. But now the decks have tilted quite a bit, half of the ship is underwater, and there are only a couple of lifeboats left. This team dying quickly of hypothermia in the playoffs is beginning to become a tragic possibility.

Pacers games are no longer enjoyable.

Sad that Quinn and Chris are talking about the Pacers playing the best team in the NBA tomorrow night, the Spurs. I remember the pacers used to be the best team in the NBA. I fear we are far from that now and yet I wouldn't be surprised if we play really well against the Spurs at home

I'm glad that the Cats and Wolverines are on. I'm mad that I wasted so much time watching the Pacers instead of UCONN-MSU. I prefer to watch basketball games that aren't full of half *** effort.

Yes but there were some people panicking when we lost 1 game in December. Seems as though some panicking after every loss, well when you do that you eventually will be right to panic

It was true then and it still is true now. We were 44-13 one month ago and we were playing good ball.

But this month has absolutely sucked. You are free to say whatever you like for this month. It has been absolutely horrible and you have every right to criticize the way that the team plays right now.

But a month ago? No, we were playing good back then. Criticizing the team then because they didn't beat the Bucks by 40 was ridiculous.

Same story different game with these guys over the past month.

It stuck out to me that Quinn was complementing the team for "playing together better". If playing together is a concern in game #74, we have issues my friends. I am not sure what they are, but if we can't play together at this stage we have issues.

How much longer does Coach Vogel continue to receive a pass for this pathetic display of basketball. I like Frank. Hope we can make it happen. But this team needs a point guard. Change the entire offense. The loss of Brian Shaw is now catching up to us. I tried to dismiss it, no choice. I think he had a way of keeping these guys together as well, esp PG.

Not to single out Lance, but I am ready for a change in the starting lineup. I know that's drastic, I don't care. Start Turner at SG. let lance run the second unit.

I wonder if Frank has given his agent call yet about possible options in the offseason. Teams will be lining up to hire Frank when he gets fired after a 1st round exit.

Also, does anyone think Turner will fetch over 6 million bucks in the open market?

He is too old to entice rebuilding teams and he is showing here he can not anchor a bench unit with offensive production. His defense, well, umm just sucks. I like Turner as a piece that can help a bench unit, but a future 15ppg guy off the bench who can carry a 2nd unit for a good team he is not.

    Well, I got nothin' guys.

I just want the regular season to be over.

Preferably with the #1 seed, but realistically probably as the #2.

A potential playoff meeting with Miami was going to be an absolute war whether there were 4 games in Indy or 3. So in the grand scheme not much changes.

This team is just making my heart heavy right now. It's not that they are losing, it's the way we're losing and the way we're conducting ourselves on and off the court.

I'm not saying the season is lost, but I've told all my Floridian friends we will never finish as the first seed. Now I'm done watching till the playoffs. It's just depressing lol honestly

I just don't think we can expect to get the the Heat in the ECF. I don't have confidence we can beat the Nets, bulls or raptors in the second round.

OR don't ever play Lance and ET together. That isn't working.
Hell, just turn them loose and let them go. This dumping it in and standing around is a sad approach. 80 PPG over the last 7 games. The two games prior to that were a pitiful performance vs Philly and a miracle comeback at Detroit.

We weren't playing bad basketball either. We were playing well enough to win. That's how most teams play at that point of the season. They don't go all out when beating teams that are the bottom of the standings. They're just cruising to wins.

What we were doing back then is extremely different with what we're doing right now.

Worse, I am deathly afraid that if the Knicks make the first round that the momentum and our death spiral might put us out in the first round. I'm not even joking.

I do not think would could beat the Knicks in a 7 game series right now. We are that bad.
