Alright, I've had enough. Time to switch back to the NCAA tourney.
This Michigan/Tennessee game the last 4 minutes has been incredible.

I can't understand why the hell Vogel can't get them to just play that way consistently.
Well, there are two possibilities, imo.

    1) Playing that way night in and night out is too physically taxing and we don't do it because we want to be 100% healthy for the playoffs.

    2) The wings have improved and Frank has decided to give them a green light offensively which has backfired.

Nah, they're kind of entertaining actually. Ridiculously over emotional, but entertaining at the same time.
The sunshiners posts are entertaining as well. Like you are watching the game with blinders on and that the Pacers will cruise to the ECF. Please. Championship teams don't look like this as an eye test. If it was one game that's one thing. This is a consistent pattern.

I don't think everybody here has to blindly worship every single player, but you would think we all could support everyone on the team. Especially a guy who was a major reason we went to the ECF last year. I don't know why you hate Roy so much, but you could voice your displeasure in his play without putting him down they way you do.
Just use the ignore option, it makes PD a much better place to visit. Then let him keep going on about Roy while wondering why no one ever responds.

    We don't have a pick.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I feel like this team has another gear for the playoffs and they showed that to me on Wednesday night. That's why I just don't see the need to waste my time and energy stressing over games like tonight. After all, what good is it going to do? Nothing I say is going to change the way they play, so why not take an optimistic approach?

He has been outplayed by his opponent 85 percent of the games this year and he is the highest payed player on the team. I never wanted us to resign him for the same reasons I'm not a fan of his now.. He is not talented, soft, and goofy... Any player who needs a sports psychologist to play bball is not someone I would want on my team...most people here will defend him no matter what.. If he gets zero rebounds no points .. I support the team.. Does not mean that I have to like all of the players.. Roy is a waste of money to me and that's my opinion...

I was think along the lines of 2 options.

    1. He's not coaching at all and has given the team to Lance and Paul.

    2. He's lost control of the team and can't get them to do what he ask.

Who wouldn't take a guy like Korver now? Larry has consistently failed to address the fact that we need an "automatic" wide open shooter.

And no.....Cope is not it. Not a big enough sample size to call him automatic.

I try to stay in the middle, not get too pumped after a win and try not to get too bummed after a loss.

It's just frustrating. This team has the talent to beat Wizards on the road and instead basically lose by 20

That's something that concerns me. Yeah, we looked good against the Heat, but we follow it up with a terrible loss

I know we're better than this. I've seen it.

I just want the playoffs to start because right now you don't know if you're going to get smashmouth Pacers or soft Pacers, when the playoffs start I expect it to be much better

We've hit 80 pts once in last four games. We've looked like dog doo in three of the last four games with no injuries. No players out. Only playing one legitimate contending team. There aren't many teams playing worse offensively than this group.

I tend to agree with that. They do have another gear for the playoffs and probably don't give a rat's *** about the Wizards but it still worries me when we lose this badly

Telling me they don't care with the #1 seed on the line? That's been their goal since the start of the season. The lack of heart is what's so concerning.

First of all, no one is thinking that we will cruise to the ECF. I want to believe that our fan base has not become as snobbish as to think that every other team will bow down to us. I think that most of us understand that every playoff game is going to be a fight.

Second of all, the Mavs won the championship in 2011, didn't they?

This championship Mavs team went 8-8 in January, 9-6 in March and 4-3 in March. Their combined record in 2011 was 31-18 (due to a great February).

This Pacers team has gone 8-8 this month. Our combined record in 2014 is 27-16. We resemble the way that the Mavs strulgged in 2011 a lot. But the Mavs won the title even if they did look bad at times in the regular season. Want to know why?

Because the playoffs are a totally different beast. You saw how we were able to reduce the deficit when we played our brand of basketball tonight. You saw how we were able to beat Miami two days ago when we played our brand of basketball. We didn't play our band of basketball enough tonight and that explains this loss. But in the playoffs we are going to play our brand of basketball because every game matters then.

Yep. If they truly don't care about these regular season games when they know crucial home-court advantage is on the line, then they're a foolishly arrogant team who deserves to be punched in the mouth come playoffs.

The #1 seed is on the line only if Miami wants to take it away. Do they want that?

To take it away they would probably need to start playing an injured Wade again and continue giving big minutes to a banged-up LeBron. A lot of Miami fans were pleading for Spoelstra to rest the big 3 after Wednesday's loss. If he does that then Miami would probably be unable to take the #1 seed. If he doesn't do that then some of his players will probably be banged-up in the playoffs. It's going to be a tough decision for him.
