actually our own Jerry Harkness did that, but from right on the line to the Dallas Chaperelles back in the ABA.
Herb Williams did it to the Kansas City kings.
But that is a hell of a shot anyway.
And speaking of which, Slick was talking about this on the pregame last night. We all know how many clutch game winners Reggie has hit over the course of his career. Were you aware that the game winner Iverson hit against us earlier this year was the FIRST of his career?
The best exercise of the human heart is reaching down and picking someone else up.
I did not exactly know that it was AI's first game winner but I always knew that all these so called superstars who get payed all this money for athletic talent rally have not done much as far as playoffs, clutch shots, etc.
Kobe has some clutch in him though.
Vince Carter, Tracy Mcgrady, Allen Iverson, Chris Weber etc, etc.
Forget the high money players who are not really super stars - Jalen Rose, Juan Howard,
Let's not forget... if your team is comfortably ahead you don't need 'game winners'.
Also... a lot of times the big, game-turning basket comes at some other point in the game.
"A player who makes a team great is more valuable than a great player. Losing yourself in the group, for the good of the group, thatís teamwork."
Oh My God!!! Luckiest **** Ive Ever Seen!!! So Niceee Tho!!! Hahahah
The Best Basketball Shot .......... EVER.
"Just look at the flowers ........ BANG"
Too dangerous. I think it's fake.
Not in 1,000,000 years is that real.
LA is FULL of 1,000s of people making stuff like this for their promo reels. You don't even need much more than a Mac with Final Cut to pull this off. And we've all seen the "Home Video" commercials where mom goes for the dunk.
So let's break it down:
VIDEO: Give aways: Intentional shaky cam, but not one frame misses the action. Zoom with perfect focus the entire time? I can't pull that off, and I even know what I'm doing around a vid camera. Lighting that is just a little too good. Picture quality that is just a little too good.
SOUND: The net sound is oviously a dubbed-in basketball, and doesn't resonate with reverb like the voices.
And finally nobody in their right mind would ever attempt this without knowing full well they were going to go to the hospital or to court. Especially if you've been trained to do tosses like this.
So, to sum up: this is from a special effect edit reel. Now all I have to do is find out which one.
*edit* after another look, I was mistaken on the girl touching her head, so I took that part of my argument out. I stand by the rest.
The first video posted in this thread was amazing. What's really funny is that later, a local newscaster gave him 15 tries at practice to hit the same shot, and he actually hit on one of them!
That second one is so fake. Horrible acting.
"Horrible acting" ?
It's called EMOTING.
