Thread: Pacers / Heat Post Game Thread - 3/26

  1. #26

Default Re: Pacers / Heat Post Game Thread - 3/26

Can y'all chill out now? Or are Lance/Vogel/PG going to continue to earn Pacers Digest's lightening rod of hate?

Lance shouldn't have been ejected. Ridiculous.
How many games did Kobe get suspended for after intentionally elbowing someone in the face? Just wondering..

Roy Hibbert's all heart. That's all I have to say about that. Turner concerns me..he's a ball stopper. That needs to change.

I said this in the beginning of the year, and I'll say it now. Miami shouldn't beat us in a 7 game series.

They don't have an answer for Hibbert, imagine if we're lucky enough to get Bynum back for the playoffs, we could pound them for 48 minutes.

I don't particularly like The Villain, but what am I taking, exactly? He came up huge and helped us win a crucial game. Uhh...I'll take that all ****ing day.

Obviously this was a phenomenal win. If we lose on the buzzer there, it would have been completely devastating mentally. We reverted back to our raw instincts against Miami. Our entire existence revolves around trying to beat these guys, and it seemed like we were all united on the task of beating them as a team. I really like our chances to get that number 1 seed now, but we still have our work cut out for us.

This was the type of game where PG looks his best. Took the ball to the rack and had a couple of aggressive dunks. There thankfully weren't too many of the ugly forced jumpers that we've seen so much of lately. He didn't get too caught up into trying to match Lebron with forced jumpers.

I like Hill, but there's just no excuse for missing those free throws there. That kind of stuff can cost you big time. I hate to throw the c word around, but....

That West three was awesome. He shoots like crap all night and then hits a three out of nowhere.

Roy looked like Hakeem early on, and he is worth every penny as long as he succeeds in doing that. Haslem slowed him down a bit at times, but he just had a phenomenal game and showed a lot of toughness. Calling that timeout after getting popped was big.

This league is a joke with officiating. The double tech on Lance-Wade was garbage since it was all Wade doing the instigating. But since Wade is a superstar and Lance has a "hot head" reputation, they had to give the double technical instead of having some stones and giving Wade the sole tech. Then the garbage T that got Lance ejected was complete crap. Lance should no better than to say anything, but it was pathetic to watch Wade goad that ref into giving Lance a T. The ref was like a little dog obeying his master. Does Wade get thrown out if the situation is reversed? No way.

The way this league caters to stars is just lame. Look, Lance has to know better than to say anything there, and hopefully this serves as a good lesson to him that this league will go to the end of the earth to bend over to its stars.

I thought Lance played a really good game. Made smart passes, had solid D, made some big threes, and had those two crucial shots at the rack in the fourth quarter.

Turner was an enigma. Played hideous at times, but then had those two crucial baskets at the end. That spin move was nasty.

Has Scola forgotten how to shoot? How many times recently have we watched him chase for the rebound immediately after releasing the shot because he knows the shot is going to be terribly short?

Exactly my thoughts. Bynum, offensively, would destroy Miami.

I agree, the stuff with Lance and Wade calls the league's integrity into question. For starters, that first incident should have never been a double tech. Lance didn't do squat there and Wade should have been given a sole tech for pushing him. But all these refs care about is reputation, and Lance has a "hot head" reputation while Wade is a star. Therefore, all they go for is a double tech since they don't have the guts to give Wade a sole one.

That ref allowing Wade to goad him into giving Lance that second T was a new low in this league's integrity.

The game was just horribly officiated on both sides. I really thought it was pretty even overall. Calls definitely favored Miami in first half, Pacers in second half.

We were 15+ points better than them today. Crazy game with some crazy calls going against us. Showed some heart to overcome that! Great game!

When LeBron taunts the crowd after every shot, why does he not get T'd? I can not believe they tossed Lance for that.

I'm not the only one who saw him clapping hard in Paul's face in the second quarter, then trying to act like he was just getting himself up, am I?

It really looked ridiculous, especially after Lance's ejection.

Let's not let Wade's boorish behavior take away the positives from this win. We just need to hold serve and keep/expand this lead so they have to come back for more playoff games than at home.

Basically, we've got the tiebreaker now. We're five games ahead of them in conference record. If we lost enough games for them to tie us there, there probably won't be a tiebreaker at all.

Doesn't matter if it was fair or not, Lance needs to be smarter when he already has one tech.

That second T was weak as all hell, but Lance has to be smarter than that. Walk away, you already have one T, and had apparently warranted a trip over to the Legend's corner by that point. Don't get in Wade's face at all. It was a stupid move.

Evan Turner must feel like the luckiest guy in the world. He goes from Tank City to playing in games like these. I was glad to see him redeem himself after he initially struggled after he came in after Lance got ejected.
