    NO!NO!NO!NO!

I'm letting what he did to Cleveland influence me, but I don't care. I wouldn't take him in a bargain!

Plus I think he is an under sized Power forward, not center.

    I just checked. He's 6'8 and 258, but he is listed as a F-C.

Indiana trades: C Scot Pollard (5.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 0.5 apg in 20.5 minutes)
    C Jeff Foster (9.2 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 0.7 apg in 28.8 minutes)
Indiana receives: PF Carlos Boozer (17.8 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 2.8 apg in 35.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +3.3 ppg, -6.2 rpg, and +1.6 apg.

Utah trades: PF Carlos Boozer (17.8 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 2.8 apg in 35.0 minutes)
Utah receives: C Scot Pollard (5.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 0.5 apg in 20.5 minutes)
    C Jeff Foster (9.2 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 0.7 apg in 28.8 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -3.3 ppg, +6.2 rpg, and -1.6 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Indiana being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Indiana had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Bad trade rebounds go down but boozer was better in the EAST anyways his rebounds will go up^!!

Who got the better end of the Abdul-Jabbar for Bridgeman, Winters, Johnson & # 1 draft pick?

You have a point, and I think it would be a good trade. Boozer's a rising star. I just don't think the Pacer's would trade two centers for Boozer . . . well . . . I guess they could pick up another big guy like Edwards pretty easy.

    Still . . . I don't like Boozer!

We could trade 2 centers because we have 4. Jeff, Scot, David, and JO.

JO moves to the starting center. Boozer to the starting 4.

David backs up the 5. Austin backs up the 4.

But I don't think Utah is going to deal Boozer. Especially for Scot and Jeff.

I would not agree that Boozer is a rising star. There is a reason Utah is willing to dump him so quick. They overpaid and he was only very good in a contract year.

Foster's not a center. Don't let Reb Porter fool you when he announces him as the "starting center."

I don't like Boozer's defense and neither does Jerry Sloan.

What the hell are you talking about?

I just heard Sloan praise Boozers defense last week in a tv interview.

Carlos is a tough rugged defender who loses no position in the post. Now granted I hate what he did to Cleveland but let's not make him out to be less than he is.

He has great hands & is a great positional defender.

I have no idea what you are talking about, especially the part about Sloan. Did you read that? See it? or assume it?

Peck, I heard it from an NBATV interview with a Salt Lake City beat writer. He said that Sloan is not enamored with Boozer's defense.

I admit I've never really focused on Boozer's defense. he can score and rebnound i know that.

Um - I think there is no question about it. If you can get a guy of Boozer's talent, then you go for it. A combo of Boozer and JO would be awesome...

Yeah, I aggree with Rcarey on this. You don't let a player as good as Boozer get away IF you can get him, except if he were something of a lockerroom cancer or his age and/or health become real issues. I don't like his contract at all though. We possible good have a chance if we offered a 3-for-1 or a 4-for-2 with at the very least Fred Jones AND this years first rounder included. The 3rd player we trade also has to either have "potential", not be named Bender or should already be something of a player with impact. Maybe, Foster.

You honestly think that is the best offer Utah could get for Carlos Boozer? At the very mininum they would want some cap space along with a draft pick and a good player.

Besides how can Boozer be traded like this? He is BYC and Utah can only take half his salary back.

    Is he BYC?

He left Cleveland as a FA for a team under the cap.

    I don't think he's BYC.

Apperently we missed this: "The Jazz are not shopping Boozer or holding a fire sale. But would they consider trading him if the right deal came along? Yes. "If the team could get a top-flight, 40-minute-a-night point guard capable of playing the Jazz's system, it would have to consider making a trade."

    Verrrry interesting, Hicks.

NJ is still looking for the help in the front court...desperately.

However, my opinion is that New Jersey wants to keep that killer trio of Kidd, Vince, and Jefferson. If they get rid of Kidd, the Nets can say goodbye to Vince's all-star numbers, and say hello to "Raptor-Vince".
