Damn Jimmy, you got your own helicopter with pilots on call 24/7 and yet you can't get someone to give you a lift on the road?

    Keep it classy Jim.

With all that money you think this guy could afford to pay a driver when he wants to go out and have a good time. Thankfully, he did not kill anyone.

I'm hoping as part of his plea agreement, they take away his Twitter privileges.

He had a hip replaced pretty recently right? He obviously had his pain med problems in the past, I'm sure he had to take some for that. Addiction's no joke, really do hope he can get it together, same as any other addict.

and not to make light of it, but considering how he usually looks that mugshot's the best picture I've seen of him in a long time

He has lost a lot of weight, I just hope it is not something stupid like meth. That is probably worst case scenario from a PR standpoint. With Jim, would that really surprise anybody though. For all the Bill Simmons readers, Jim has to be getting close to the Tyson Zone, right? What would really surprise you at this point?

Hip replacement pain, divorce, and just general stress of being a NFL owner is just not a good thing for a recovering addict like him especially since he was addicted to pain pills the first time.

Hopefully he can the help he needs.

Probably a hefty fine, and hopefully they make him go through rehab. I think it was Vonte Davis's contract, not the divorce that caused this.

I bet he fell off the wagon long before this incident.

I suspected he was using again(or never really stopped)

Jimmy's dad was as bad on the addiction scale. Too bad Tiger Irsay passed on the gene to his son.

Hopefully he gets the help he needs. I've talked to Jimmy on a few occasions and he really is (though strange) a likable guy.

Insert Trent Richardson trade joke here....
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

I could see them make an example out of him. However I won't believe he'll serve actual time until it happens. I mean he has $$$ he can get probation at this point although jail might be good for him in keeping this addiction under control.

Makes me wonder how this would be handled with Polian in charge as much as I rag on the guy he did keep this sort of thing under control. Grigson is a newbie in comparison.

Wow this isn't good. I think we might have a pretty good team and I really hate distractions.

At least this happened in the offseason I can only imagine how much worse this would be if this was during the season.

We're going to be hearing a lot more stories about this I bet

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-organization/

Report: Irsay’s behavior was alarming around Colts organization

Jim Irsay’s early-morning arrest for operating while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance may not have come as a shock within the Colts’ facility.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, some people with connections to the Colts franchise had grown concerned about the owner’s behavior.

“There are people around the Colts organization who have been suspicious about some of his behavior,” Schefter said Monday morning on SportsCenter.

No details were given about Irsay’s suspicious behavior. Irsay has acknowledged his struggles with addiction but has claimed that he stopped drinking 15 years ago. Irsay will be subject to discipline from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Probable cause shows Irsay was found driving 10mph in a 35mph zone and officer saw him stopped in the middle of the road.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

Wonder if Bill Polian strikes again?

I know it will be easy for a lot of folks to poke fun, but I really think he's a good guy who needs help. It just goes to show, all the money in the world can't cure everything. Probably pain-killers and alcohol again, due to recent surgeries and divorce. I really feel bad for the guy. The fact he was driving 10 in a 35 is a sign he probably realized he was drunk and was making an effort not to not drive recklessly, but Jim, you really need to buy a chauffeur. Not like you can't afford it.

Can tell just by looking at this pic that he needs help, he looks pathetic, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way... he really looks pathetic:

There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.
