    I liked his quote:

“Let's not blow it out of perspective,” Bynum said of his first-quarter flurry. “I think the tallest guy they had was 6-2. Playing with midgets, so it was going to be easy to be effective.”
With the time of year and the opponent, maybe they were leprechauns?

What I like about Bynum is that he seems to have big spongy, strong hands. Once he is better acclimated to the offense, all our guys have to do is to put the ball where Bynum can get a hand on it because no one is going to take it away from him. Same thing on the boards. Unlike Roy and Ian, an opponent may gain a jump ball with Bynum, but they will never knock a ball from his hands. Also, as large as he is, he will not be spending any time on the floor, unlike one of the primary bigs on our roster.

Over the remainder of the season, I think the Pacers will devise a means to assist Bynum with the quicker players that attack him in the paint. And, they will learn to better cover an opposing 4 or 5 that wants to step away from the basket in an attempt to draw Bynum out.

It should be an interesting few weeks. I am really anxious to see how we adapt to best utilize Bynum. I think it will be great for us, and it will be great for him as well.

Doubt it, I don't think those two words could ever be considered compliments, as well are rarely associated with someone who "keeps it cool". Probably f'er or mf'er.
This was my thinking as well.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

I don't think he's "fat" either, but I'd bet money on his body fat% being higher than Roy's. A 6' guy weighing 200lbs with 5% body fat will look smaller than a 6' guy weighing 200lbs with 13% body fat.
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.” ― Ricky Gervais.

What if someone from a school of business or management school were to ask, How did you do this? How did you get the Pacers turned around? Is there a general approach you've taken that can be summarized?

    Larry Bird: Yeah, patience.

This cat knows a thing or two about playing winning basketball. He won two rings with Mamba and Philip barking in his ear. He is the only player on our roster who has been a key part of a championship team. Glad our players' quotes from last night show some respect for his talents as opposed to the smug annoyed quotes they gave us when he was first signed.

Bones probably have a higher density. Perhaps Roy doesn't have as much meat and fat on his huge frame?

The history of the game George Hill really?
Hill is pretty young. It's a shame most young people missed so many of the great big men.

Bynum is certainly wider than Roy. I'm pretty sure that he weights more than him as well. That's why he looks so big.
So you are saying he looks bigger because he is bigger? This is groundbreaking analysis.

“Today it didn't bother me because of adrenaline and I had two months off, so it's going to feel good,” he said of his right knee. “The key is how it responds and how we can keep inflammation out. If we have inflammation, that starts the whole (troublesome) process. Right now we don't have any.”
So what did he really say for "troublesome?"

    My guess is "MotherF----d up."

Bynum's frame is just wider. Roy is big and tall, but Bynum is just BIG. That doesn't necessarily mean he's fat.

It seems like this thread will end with Bynum making one of the Celtics players eat their parents.

No doubt about it. Bynum always had great hands and a very strong base that allowed him to keep his balance. He also has very good fundamentals when grabbing an offensive rebound. He keeps the ball up after a board which gives him an advantage on putting it right back in. A lot of Centers (including Roy) tend to bring the ball down after an offensive board which is dangerous since the smaller player is free to swipe at the ball and knock it out of their hands.

Exactly. Bynum has a great frame for a Center.

It depends on how someone defines "big". Is it height or width? If it's width then Bynum is certainly bigger. If it's height then Roy is bigger. If it's a combination of the two then it depends on the combination
