    Default Pacers / Celtics Post-Game Thread - 3/11

4 Game losing Streak Over, Bynum played his first game and did very well in limited minutes!

    Pacers WIN!

    Thoughts?

Good game, but we have got to rebound better.

I really couldn't have asked for a much better game tonight. George and Stephenson had their struggles, but did make some important plays in the 2nd half when we needed them. This was the definition of a total team effort tonight.

For me, it reminded me of games earlier in the season where we played good D but the offense wasn't fluid, yet we still just 'out-talented' teams down the stretch. Another carbon copy tonight.

Rebounding was an issue. Stephenson didn't get after it as much tonight. Perhaps less keen to steal Bynum's rebounds?

Delighted with Bynum's debut. Couldn't have asked for more. A bit peeved that he just fell short of the double double. Would have been nice for him.

Oh, and I see our resident bust went a 4/4 from the floor with 3 assists added into the mix.

In what was one of the most incredible individual matchups of the season, Chris Denari mentioned Brad Stevens 137 times, narrowly scraping by Roy Hibbert falling down, whose final tally rested at 134. Amazing effort out of those two.

Yep, rebounding was subpar. Also still a lot of dribble penetration against our point guards. But better than the 4 game losing streak and Bynum was encouraging. Another no excuse not to win opponent on tap Friday.

I don't care that they didn't return to the dominant play style of the first half of the season, I don't care that they almost gave up the lead.

    They ****ing won.

Pleasantly surprised by Bynum. Now the question is whether his conditioning and knees will allow him to play consistent healthy minutes. Let's hope for the best.

Turner shot well tonight too which was great to see (especially from 3).

Tough to see too much else here, it is the Celtics after all, but a win is a win and MAN did we need it. Hopefully we can build up some momentum over the next few games.

A lot of positives to be taken from tonight. Obviously all the wrongs from the slump wouldn't be ridden of overnight, but tonight was a large step in doing that.

We're still coming for that title.

We shot the ball well but the 20 offensive rebounds from Boston were far too much. 16 TO's but really no surprises there anymore.

Bynum had an excellent debut offensively.

I thought Bynum's debut gave the team some much needed energy and lift.

West was rock solid all night though, and George and Stephenson had some big shots. Scola's got that midrange jumper going again.

Roy played with an energy I haven't seen from him in a bit in the 4th quarter.

We can be pretty damn special if this is the Bynum we get the rest of the way.

I could be wrong, but they have a 50 year old man and Tractor Traylor's son both in the game at the same time right now.

Bynum has more lift with those terrible knees than Hibbert does...

Lance was terrible for the first 44ish minutes. He was 1/9 with no assists. Is it just me, or since the Turner trade, has Lance been looking to get his own more? He completely missed a wide open Hill multiple times in the first half just to dribble dribble dribble.

Overall, definitely a better showing. But it was also against Boston.

Bynum came in the game and it seemed as though the entire team had this cathartic moment.

We became Smashmouth again. We were getting offensive boards, taking it strong to the rim, forcing teams to double team us.

Now, it wasn't ALL roses and sunshine. We need to iron out some issues with rebounding, ball movement, 'hero ball' tendencies, and a number of things defensively.

BUT, I think we all finally got to see a return to our roots, even just temporarily.

That's a huge win in my book. Plus, you know... We won!

We will not get our offense back until Vogel takes the ball out of Hills hands... A win is a win but this team still does not look good... Let Lance and pg bring it up the floor let Hill spot up...

Also, in what I'm sure is nothing but a coincidence, Roy looked motivated for the first time in months after Bynum balled out in his first game action.
