Now is the perfect time to integrate him in and see what he can offer us.

I agree with Uncle Buck, would love to see a Mahinmi-Bynum lineup as opposed to Scola.

Will he play? Or is he cleared to suit up and be in uniform on the bench?
I'm not sure how Frank can Bench Ian after having stringing together so many great games before this 4 game slide. So I think we will see a twin towers line up tonight.

We already have spacing issues with our second unit, and now you want to play two guys that will clog the lane for Lance and ET together? Also, Bynum isn't going to come in here and be a world beater on offense. It's going to take time. Our second unit has massive scoring difficulties as it is. As frustrated as I am with Scola, I think you either have to keep playing him or throw Copeland out there.

Just heard on Grady, that Bynum will play and Ian will sit out with Bruised Ribs. So he should get some good minutes. Roy better have his game on tonight incase Bynum is just utterly foul prone.

Bynum was playing pretty regularly the first couple months of the season and had a few very good outings. As a backup, he will probably do very well if he's 75%.

Edit: He completely outplayed Joakim Noah earlier this year.

Hey, look at the bright side: even if he does suck he will fit right in with the team at this point in time.

My guess is he will play. They wouldn't just clear him to play and then not play him

Expecting a Points-Assists-Steals triple double. Anything less and its pretty easy to say the Bynum experiment is a massive failure. /green

    Grow up.

Evan has played about 7 games and in total has given us about 56 points. How many points has Danny given us in the time he's been back?

Calling Turner a bust at this point is ridiculous, but judging them just on their points scored isn't exactly a great barometer. Especially when you consider ET's very real struggles defensively. I seem to be in my own lifeboat on this subject, but I thought Granger, for all his atrocious play on offense, was actually defending pretty well.

Evan is a terrific man defender. But his limitations are indeed real. He can guard 3's, but not 2's. He has the speed to stay with a Melo or a Joe Johnson. But having him guard JR Smith for example, or Marcus Thornton who's always coming off screens is a BAD idea. But remember Paul Pierce was also a slow-footed player as a SF. And it only got worse as he got older. PP still had a terrific offensive game. That's why he got a pass for having below average foot speed. Turner's strength is forcing turnovers on man defense guarding 3's. But we need Paul to guard the 2's. And the quicker 3's.

Evan is not a terrific man defender. He's not even good. I wouldn't even call him average.

I think he would be best hidden guarding 3s, I don't think he can succeed guarding 1s in any way, shape, or form. I think 2s are a struggle as well, depending on who it is. I agree with you 100% that throwing him on guys that will run him through a litany of screens is a recipe for disaster. Slow-footed guys aren't a huge issue, but then again, they aren't for a great many players in the NBA.

I will concede that part of his defensive struggles have been due to his newness in the system. He hasn't picked up our scheme yet, and it's made him look lost more often than he normally would. But still, we are in it to win it now. That learning curve has to be smoothed out.

Now that you could make a case for. Considering he was the second overall pick in the draft, it's debateable. I don't agree with it, but a case could be made there.
