I brought this up in the game thread. The bench sucked today but they only got 9 shots combined. If we're going to run our starters with the bench, the bench players still need to get the ball. This was always my biggest gripe with running Lance with the second until while Granger was here. I'm not saying to run plays for Solo when he's in for a few minutes but we should be setting up Turner and Scola a little more.

I don't blame the coaches, at this point. If they don't get to Ecf then we can talk. This seems bad, but like I said they aren't this bad. I'd undo the dg et trade probably already but that's honestly not whats going to make or break things. As long as the starting 5 is intact its 0-0 in about a month, so well see.

Last year Green, DJ, etc. were all just bad basketball players, now it must be Vogel...LOL

I mean it's not like Vogel didn't give Green first crack at the starting job, which he totally shat away. I mean unless you think we should have converted our whole team style to service Green's up tempo game?

DJ got consistent minutes all year and could never produce and he flamed out in Toronto too, you know the same Raps team that has a top 10 record since they got rid of him and Rudy Gay...

But yeah definitely Vogel who was holding them back.

In reality, it is neither. People don't need to go to such extremes. They are always reasons why a certain player cannot get it going in a team but can prosper in another one.

That said, I definitely wish that Frank will try something else with the bench.

I'm still kicking myself about ET. I saw him play a ton and didnt get it. Maybe he'll turn things around but hes playing like a good player on a bad team right now, maybe he'll turn it Around. I just can't figure out who he guards and isn't a liability. Back up 2/3 are killing him off the dribble pretty badly. I guess I'm disappointed since i had high expectations and felt like he was an upgrade.

If not play Cope more, can we at least give L. Allen a look? see what we get from him? I personally haven't seen him play, but Scola isn't doing it right now. I would have to think Allen would at least provide more energy on the court.

Love the passion here. I firmly believe that Copeland is not the answer. Also Frank is still the same coach he was when they had the best record in the EC , btw , they still do.

Four game losing streaks=time to fire the coach. Nevermind what's happened in the other 250 games he's coached.

Well Larry always said coaches had a 3 year window and then players started tuning them out...Frank has been here 3 years now when one considers he took over midseason of the 2011-12 season, so......

Outside of one interesting post, is anyone calling for Frank to be fired? I think he is a good coach, a young coach who will likely improve even more as he gains experience. That said, I don't think it is ufair to question some of his decision making when we are going through the same things each year with different personnel.

It is important to remember that Frank is so young and has been so generally successful that each new type of adversity is a completely new experience for him. He has to learn just like we've had to put up with Paul and Lance learning.

Really bad idea to categorize one brand new teammates' individual game when the entire team is sucking.

I'm just saying that thing is one of the goofiest things Bird says. He didn't even take his own advice with JOB. He said that just so he could can Thomas easily.

and quit after he coached 3 seasons...

but the way this season has gone with first him signing Bynum and then trading Granger....anything is possible...and it seems if you think something is highly unlikely then it stands a real chance of happening...

Come on guys. It takes time when you have in-season personnel changes. Even without change, it's normal to have bad periods. When they happen, everything/everyone looks bad. It'll get worked out.

What part of that results in Evan Turner being left in the corner off ball, though?

Well, you cite giving them minutes, but I'm not saying Vogel doesn't give the bench minutes. I'm saying what they do while they're on the floor is wasting (at least in Evan Turner's case) their talent. Surely they can be used better than that.
