Default Pacers / Warriors Post Game Thread - 3/4

Not much to say.....the Warriors Bench stepped up....and the Pacers bench didn't show up.

Other things of note......the perimeter defense was horrific....10-20 shooting from behind the 3pt line for the Warriors. While the Pacers FELL IN LOVE with but couldn't hit the 3pt shot....with a pathetic 3-16 from behind the 3pt line.

I am sure that there are other things to complain about...but that was a really disappointing loss.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

And this is why people were concerned with the lackluster performances against Milwaukee, Boston etc.....

Never underestimate what David West means to this team. Without him we would not have been in the game tonight or have won 5 in a row coming in.

This one was pretty easy to determine why we lost to me.

I haven't seen a more lopsided game when it comes to 50/50 loose balls all year. I don't know if that was a fluke or we just didn't match their energy but it felt like they came up with every loose ball and more often than not made us pay after they got them.

BTW Turner, you are on Indiana. You have good players around you. No need to take crazy, offbalanced contested fadeaways. I like you, but comeon man.

I think I might consider calling it quits on watching the regular season. The team is obviously done trying during it. The lack of effort is just so frustrating.

Tonight's game was a perfect example why both sides of this argument have been right: We spent the first 41 minutes playing with our customary (of late) half-assed effort. Granted, they were hitting shots and getting every loose ball and every call, but we were flat. Period. Then, they flip the switch and turn it on. That defense the last 5 minutes of the game was unreal. The atmosphere turned playoff-esque. But we dug too big of a hole and couldn't get all the way out. Highly irritating game.

The bench was a complete non-factor. We can't have Turner throwing up donuts. Something needs to change with that unit, and it's not the personnel. We've tried that. Quite a few times.

Hate that we lost because we had a realistic chance to take both games, but I really can't complain splitting with a team that can shoot like Golden State. They fought back but just didn't execute well offensive in the final minute.

On a positive note, Scola looks like he found his jump shot again in the 2nd half tonight. If he wasn't knocking those down early on, Golden State could have potentially put the game out of reach.

Jackson drew up a play with less than a minute left for ****ing Jermaine O'Neal. I would have been losing my **** if I were a Dubs fan at that point.

trade Hibbert for JO, sign Artest and amnesty George, pay whatever Suns ask to get back Green, otherwise i don't see us winning many games.

Because they knew we would play to the wire against one of the top 8 teams in the NBA. Ok...

We looked pretty nonchalant through most of the game. Poor rebounding. Poor perimeter D. Out hustled for loose balls.
In short we looked like we have looked for a few weeks now.

Just hoping this ignites a fire for us.

Still can not understand how we can shoot so freakin' awful for long stretches.
And WHY in He(( do we shoot so many stupid lazy threes?!

Yeah, good point. Keep playing less than we are capable of against bad teams and see if that translates over. I mean it is not like Miami is hot and we are shooting for the #1 seed or anything.

I'm more disappointed in the lack of executing on our 2nd to last possession. PG just ****ing threw up a prayer after ISOing. That can't be the shot you get out of that possession. Frank should have taken the timeout to get a real play set. That was the possession to win the game on. Not a .6 second catch n shoot.

I really don't understand why the Pacers continually over help off the the 3pt line against this team. All they want to do is swing it around for open 3's.

At one point do we blame Frank Vogel for just hideous offensive design? The Bench has had a ridiculous amount of players cycled in and out, and it is still just as inconsistent. It's the system, not the players. The starting units offense could be so much better as well. Pacers would be so much better if they just had a solid offensive system. Yeah, I know the Pacers are 32 games over .500, Pacers would be even better.

Lance cannot zone out. The thought of paying that man 10 million dollars a year is just terrifying to me after games like tonight. PG has got to stop taking so many bad 3 pointers. The one on the last possession, when the Pacers had an easy opportunity at a 2 for 1, was just brutal.

To top it all off, if Miami wins tonight, the Pacers have blown their lead in the race for the 1 seed. I tend to agree with cdash in regards to the fact that I think this team is capable of beating Miami without HCA, but when the team sets the goal, and has the talent to get there, it is frustrating to see the lack of effort.

Im going to have nightmares of 4 guys standing around while PG isos into a missed contested jumpshot tonight.
