    I enjoyed the Ghostbusters movies

Ramis, a longtime North Shore resident, was surrounded by family when he died at 12:53 a.m. from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels, his wife Erica Mann Ramis said. He was 69.

In addition to his "classics," Analyze This is really good, and I liked the Ice Harvest a lot too.

Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Animal House, and Stripes among others. Simply put, he was one of the finest comedic film makers of our time.

I really liked Ice Harvist and Analyze this and I think those two are definitely under appreciated.

I was just thinking of watching Stripes this week. One of my favorite movies.

Guess that puts the final nail in Ghostbusters 3.

It's a hot debate, but I'd put Groundhog Day over everything.

(Also technically only directed Caddyshack of the ones you listed, though obviously a huge part of each movie.)

Stripes is probably my all-time favorite comedy, it's amazing how many Comedy Classic's he had a part in making. I was a fan, but I had no idea he had done so much. RIP

Groundhog Day is spectacular. I'd really have a hard time putting them in order, because they're all so great in their own different way.

Just look at his IMDB page. Between writing, directing, and acting credits, he has a comedic resumé to rival absolutely anyone.

This Ramis piece from the New Yorker is 10 years old and the epitome of longform but it's a pretty interesting read.
