All I can say is that we're looking at an increase in Miami Heat "fans" in the playoffs if Danny signs with them. Certainly not the vast numbers who flocked to the Broncos when Manning left, but there's an awful lot of people out there saying Danny was the only thing that kept them a Pacer fan so they'll follow him wherever he goes.

I think Danny was liked, respected, and generally admired. But not loved like Reggie or Manning.

At least that is the way it is with me.

Ok, this is too much. There is no way he was serious with that post. NO. WAY.

If Danny goes to Miami I'll cheer my *** off for every point he scores in every loss. Wouldn't blame him a bit for going there, but not about to pretend I'd want him to help them win.

The Pacers wrote negative things about Danny? Where?
Assuming that the sources that he "stopped working out" came from inside the org somewhere...there was no word of this while he was on the team of course.

(It could be that the author made it up whole cloth, but I doubt it.)

He's going to L.A. or San Antonio.

Ok fine. Since we apparently have to take this seriously, how big is Danny's family exactly? Big enough to constitute an "awful lot of people?"

    This is absurd.

It's disappointing to hear about Evan, but I'm comforted knowing that he likely won't be pulling that **** in this locker room and with this coach.

So Lance supposedly has an ADD problem too. I think they'll both be ok and not have an actual Ron Ron meltdown.

He sounds like a prick there, but I'm sure being in the NBA and playing with guys that are equally as good if not better has checked his ego a bit. He's no longer the big fish in the small pond. Or at least I'd hope...

Do we know what his history is with Mark Titus at all? Titus is widely known as a troll, his whole book is basically written as a big joke about what it means to be a walk on. I don't have any problem with Titus either, but that story isn't that ridiculous to me.

What about the story is that crazy to you? There are lots of stories of athletes being ****ing weird in locker rooms from high school to the pros.

So he was kind of a dick in college, is not enough for me to get that worked up. Especially since our starting shooting guard is Lance.

It's mostly tongue-in-cheek, but IF he signs with Miami I would bet more than a few Miami jockers will use that as their excuse. "Oh, no, I'm not a LeBron drooler, I just think the Pacers screwed over Danny..." Suuuuuuuuuuuure....

This whole thing really made me respect the Spurs so much more, even though I respected them a whole lot already. You've gotta believe teams approached Pop with trade scenarios for Manu, TD or TP over the years, possibly hoping to add more veteran experience to a young locker room, yet Pop and the Spurs managed to keep those guys all these years. Instead of sacrificing them for younger talent to hasten the rebuild, they've found ways to build the pieces around them to stay competitive, even as those guys have aged considerably and even battled injuries and missed more than a few games. And it's not like they've found hidden stars. We're talking about Patty Mills and Marco Belinelli here. So, tip of my hat to Pop and Spurs for their continued success and loyalty to their core players.
Yeah, well, the Spurs have been busy winning four championships over the last several years. The Pacers? Not so much. The Pacers have to do what they can if they want to win a trophy. If the point is not to try to win championships, then what is the point?

This is entirely fair. Titus pretty much owes his entire writing "career" to him talking **** about Turner and growing up around Oden, he wouldn't have gotten noticed otherwise. When the trade first happened I specifically checked Titus's twitter because of this and he was sorta trolling about how "I like how no one will ever know if I really dislike Evan Turner" or something like that. Just that he puts that trolly question out there makes the answer obvious in my opinion.

But, Titus was also an OSU scrub and I can't see him getting this far if he was just completely BSing. We'll see I guess.

That's exactly why we should be worried. Two combustible personalities on the same team who just happen to be vying for the same position, and oh by the way, who both understand that they're free agents this summer and the team can only pick one of them? Hmmm... nah, no potential for alarm at all.

I can just imagine ET trying to get cute with Lance and Lance losing his ****. Then again, I can imagine the same exact thing in the other direction. David West is a boss, this is true, but how much can one man police? I'm not holding my breath that Frank will keep these guys in check.

We often heard in the past how this locker room didn't have any "cliques." Anyone willing to bet that's still true?

If Turner doesn't fit in that sucks, but in no way am I concerned about it being an actual problem. Nobody's backing Turner over Lance, no reason to anyway.

Nah, I don't think it's any reason to get worked up. Titus knew Evan was super sensitive to pretty much everything, so he poked at him quite a bit. Kind of like I do with Kstat.

I don't agree that it has something to do with an "ego" thing. To me, that is more of Turner being an *******, but again, given his history with Titus, I don't put much more stock into it other than it being pretty funny.

I doubt (hope) Turner is dumb enough to mess up a golden opportunity to be a major contributor on a championship contending team. He literally went from the worst team in the league, to one of the very best. This is his best chance to score himself a nice contract come this summer. All he has to do is be on his best behavior for a few months, and contribute.

Also, the story of Turner putting his junk in his waist band makes me think of the quote from Superbad by Jonah Hill's character.

I didn't go that in depth in that article, but that had to be AT LEAST 3 years ago. Possibly more.

If true, I'd like to think he's somewhat moved past that phase.
