If Danny goes to Miami I'll cheer my *** off for every point he scores in every loss. Wouldn't blame him a bit for going there, but not about to pretend I'd want him to help them win.
(It could be that the author made it up whole cloth, but I doubt it.)
It's disappointing to hear about Evan, but I'm comforted knowing that he likely won't be pulling that **** in this locker room and with this coach.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....
What about the story is that crazy to you? There are lots of stories of athletes being ****ing weird in locker rooms from high school to the pros.
So he was kind of a dick in college, is not enough for me to get that worked up. Especially since our starting shooting guard is Lance.
It's mostly tongue-in-cheek, but IF he signs with Miami I would bet more than a few Miami jockers will use that as their excuse. "Oh, no, I'm not a LeBron drooler, I just think the Pacers screwed over Danny..." Suuuuuuuuuuuure....
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...
This is entirely fair. Titus pretty much owes his entire writing "career" to him talking **** about Turner and growing up around Oden, he wouldn't have gotten noticed otherwise. When the trade first happened I specifically checked Titus's twitter because of this and he was sorta trolling about how "I like how no one will ever know if I really dislike Evan Turner" or something like that. Just that he puts that trolly question out there makes the answer obvious in my opinion.
But, Titus was also an OSU scrub and I can't see him getting this far if he was just completely BSing. We'll see I guess.
That's exactly why we should be worried. Two combustible personalities on the same team who just happen to be vying for the same position, and oh by the way, who both understand that they're free agents this summer and the team can only pick one of them? Hmmm... nah, no potential for alarm at all.
I can just imagine ET trying to get cute with Lance and Lance losing his ****. Then again, I can imagine the same exact thing in the other direction. David West is a boss, this is true, but how much can one man police? I'm not holding my breath that Frank will keep these guys in check.
We often heard in the past how this locker room didn't have any "cliques." Anyone willing to bet that's still true?
If Turner doesn't fit in that sucks, but in no way am I concerned about it being an actual problem. Nobody's backing Turner over Lance, no reason to anyway.
Tonight, all flags must burn, in place of steeples.
Autonomy must return into the hands of the people.
CJ Watson - 20 points on 6/10 shooting!
Nah, I don't think it's any reason to get worked up. Titus knew Evan was super sensitive to pretty much everything, so he poked at him quite a bit. Kind of like I do with Kstat.
I don't agree that it has something to do with an "ego" thing. To me, that is more of Turner being an *******, but again, given his history with Titus, I don't put much more stock into it other than it being pretty funny.
I doubt (hope) Turner is dumb enough to mess up a golden opportunity to be a major contributor on a championship contending team. He literally went from the worst team in the league, to one of the very best. This is his best chance to score himself a nice contract come this summer. All he has to do is be on his best behavior for a few months, and contribute.
Also, the story of Turner putting his junk in his waist band makes me think of the quote from Superbad by Jonah Hill's character.
I didn't go that in depth in that article, but that had to be AT LEAST 3 years ago. Possibly more.
If true, I'd like to think he's somewhat moved past that phase.
Stop quoting people I have on ignore!
