Are you saying there isn't a chance Turner doesn't despite our starters ball movement struggles.
Though he may eventually be a replacement for Lance, Turner is not going to start on this team.

Whether or not he finishes games is between he and Lance.

Woah. OJ gone in a separate deal, or bundled to Philly?
Cut, would be my guess. That or bundled to Philly.

It really just makes no sense at all from the 76ers standpoint and that was the only thing logical I could come up with. Hey, maybe the 76ers owner has a massive bet on the Pacers winning the NBA Finals.
Ok I can accept that theory more easily

I think SAS makes sense, especially depending on how long Kawhi is out. Clippers make sense too.
Just FYI, Kawhi should be back tomorrow.

Butt hurt? Even Larry has called Granger out for his lack of work ethic.
While somewhat true, it still doesn't make your original post even remotely true.

Are we sure this is the reason? Doesn't seem logical to me. If they ended up 6 million under the cap, they just would have had to pay that extra 6 million to their existing players. That makes more sense then to pay a guy a bunch of money (not sure how much?) NOT to play for you.
Philly got a second rounder out of the deal. Pretty pitiful, I know.

After today, I've gotta say, what the Sixers are currently doing may be the most blatant example of tanking in U.S. sports history. They gave up Turner, Allen, and Hawes for three second round picks. That's their leading scorer and rebounders. Wow.

look, i understand that many are sad and upset however, i think this was a good move. let's face it, danny just isn't very good anymore.... he simply isn't.
his shooting was more than off, it was terrible. forget him being worth the 14 mil he's making this year, his production simply hasn't been nearly half that. not even a 3rd of that in my opinion.
i (like many) had hopes he could make himself into a solid 6th man but it just wasn't going to happen obviously. he had plenty of time to prove himself and his true value to the team today just wasn't anywhere near what it used to be. i wish him the best of luck elsewhere but his days as a legit nba player are very numbered as his return showed. even if he had stuck around for the rest of this season, i honestly wouldn't have wanted him back next year even at vet min. i saw him looking somewhere between a non-factor and a negative most nights.
i will always appreciate him for his hard work during one of the most depressing eras in pacer history i have ever witnessed. but he just wasn't going to help us win a title this year and i don't want to carry a guy who can't help us win a ring just because we like him. turner will be a much more useful player for us the rest of this season than danny would.

Realistically why would Granger even want to accept a buy out? Philly is a horrible team, but it's his best chance to be a major contributor anywhere and possibly earn himself a contract after this season. He can't play for a contending team. He isn't good enough. If he was, we wouldn't have traded him.

Some will worry about chemistry with all of this but the fact remains bringing in Bynum and Turner does let the team know being complacent is not an option.

Miami opened a roster spot today. Nets have a injury exception. Wonder where Danny will end up. Could get interesting.

I hope he goes to San Antonio. But then i can just imagine him killing us in the NBA finals. Granger goes beast mode on his old team to win it all.

The 76ers do not care if they win another game all season. Turner was going to leave this off season. We are giving them another second round pick. What does keeping Turner do for them? Nothing.

I like the move. But....man...this ring's for you Danny
Team's can give a ring to whoever they want but if the Pacers do win a championship this year, they could send him a ring in good faith because he played for them this season.

I'll miss Danny but I have League Pass and will follow him wherever he winds up. I was hoping the Pacers could somehow get another good player and wasn't surprised they traded him. I didn't think they'd be able to get Evan Turner though. It's an interesting turn of events. I'm not sure that Turner is the answer though for what's been bothering the Pacers bench. He's not that good of an outside shooter if I remember correctly.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

His last days as a pacer were the 2012 playoffs. Let's be honest.

Actually wouldn't he be eligible for a ring even if the Pacers win it all so technically he would've earned it more than Edge did that's for sure.

Yep. And everyone is still free to like him, but business is business. Trading him for better players doesn't mean anyone is required to not appreciate his good years. Pretty sure there's a thread for that already?

Granger was a top small forward in his prime, no question. But that was years ago. You can still appreciate his past contributions and acknowledge that he can't play anymore and hasn't been a legit contributor for two years now.

Sucks about OJ too. I always thought he'd end up being a good player somewhere else, his skill set just didn't fit our roster.

Who steps up as our hype man now? Ian?
