I think it was smart to not take the timeout. No way we have 2 wide open guys in the corner if we run a set play. Just unfortunate that PG missed him. He played well for the most part too, unfortunately just missed the biggest play of the game.

Wonder if they regret those moronic third quarter brain fart possessions where they were hot dogging and kept turning it over...
More evidence that we are not a smart team. My gosh, we could have had a four game lead.
Doesn't really matter though. No one is beating OKC.

Paul could've passed it to a wide open Hill, but if we actually want him "to be the man", it's hard to fault him for taking that shot, especially when there was quite a bit of contact.

Don't confuse a lack of effort with a lack of execution. These guys are playing hard, but they're not playing smart.

Cannot blame the refs for this one.

Not when you **** away a 17 point lead.

Not when you ignore 2 WIDE OPEN shooters.

I don't want to hear anything about the refs. That's some sore loser ****.

Also keep this in mind, strange things always seem to happen when VIOLET PALMER is part of the officiating crew. She is horrible.

Jordan wasn't afraid to pass in that situation.

nah, we could have gotten a great play out of a time out. that last play was chaos from the start, you could see it in PG as he crossed half court with 6 seconds left. Vogel should have called time out. Set up a play, set up screens, anything would have been better than that.

Idk how you don't take a time out. They had three players under the basket not like its a fast break. We should have set up a play. Terrible game man. Definitely worst loss of the year. Stings so bad.

I don't know how Vogel leaves Lance out there for 39 minutes. We have depth, we don't need to do this.

No its both. The lack of execution is the turnovers. The lack of effort is shown by all the long 2s with 14 secs on the shot clock

I'd like to see PG take credit for messing up at the end. Hopefully he does.

I can actually understand not calling a TO. What's Vogel going to do? Spend 20 seconds reminding PG of the importance of passing to an open shooter? If you need to take a time out to teach your best player to hit the open man, you're in poor shape.

Especially when he's leading the team in turnovers for the night and coming off an injury.

The lead was starting to be lost by the starters?
Starters gave up a few points but lead evaporated when Ian, CJ, Danny and Luis came in with PG.

Yeah, you don't want to call a timeout there. It was a turnover and a scramble play. Advantage to offense, IF YOU FIND THE OPEN MAN! We had two.

We don't have a back up 2 guard. This is why there's the rumor of Indy looking for another scorer off the bench. Who will fill that slot.

We only needed a two, so PG probably wasn't looking for guys on the three point line, regardless of them being open. You call a time out because it settles the team down. It was a chaotic situation. Thats why PG didn't pass. He never even saw those two, he was just going "I NEED TO SCORE" Call the time out, draw up a play.

You could tell as soon as PG crossed half court he was taking a shot, no matter what. And he wasn't in full control. Frank should have recognized this and called a time out, get the guys refocused after a very weird in bounds sequence, and draw a play up to win the game.

I don't know what they have done to warrant that status. Miami freaking MAULED them in the Finals two years ago.

doesn't make it alright. if anything that shoulda been a wake up call on not giving up a 17pt lead. one game but Pacers gave it away. hope it doesn't bite us in the end.

were giving Miami every reason to start playing hard by only being down 3 games in the standings. if they catch fire were playing game 7 down in south beach.

Exactly. At some point pull the guy and talk to him. It's part of coaching. As the season has progressed I think Vogel has slowly given Lance too much rope. He needs to direction that I don't think he's getting, at least not as much as he should be.

There was no excuse for the officiating though. The jump ball? West called timeout! Why was there a jump ball? Then there was the first time Orlando in-bounded the ball. West got a hand on the damn thing. Should've been a jump. Instead, somehow.....the refs give Orlando a timeout! Then Lance is fouled on Orlando's inbound turnover by Big Baby, and Paul is fouled by two of three people on his fall away. Refs cost us this one no doubt about it. But like I said....when Violet Palmer is on the crew, this happens. She was on the crew of the game in Phoenix too.

the play out of the timeout with about 28 seconds to go in the game where paul heaved up a 30ft'r was a complete clusgterfudge.
