Why Orlando instead of/but not Solomon Hill?

I haven't given up on OJ, but I bet his confidence is at an all time low. Even before this move.

Solomon went already earlier this year. Average 19.0 in 2 games.

They gave Solo the choice to go down or not when they sent him the first time. He went down and didn't have a good time so probably just said no this time.

I may be the only person but I lost a lot of respect for Solomon Hill with the way he handled the Ft. Wayne trip. He complained about lack of playing time but played 26 min. one game and 33 another.

Proud of Orlando for doing this and I hope he comes back as a stronger player like he did last year.

Just checked out the Mad Ants current roster. They start two forwards named Tony Mitchell. That must be fun for the fans listening on radio.

I liked Orlando from the beginning in summer league, and he gave us some good minutes last season.

    BUT

Going forward I believe S. Hill will be the better wing player. He has a better looking natural shooting stroke, better size and BB IQ.

I dont know if Orlando will ever develop in to anything but a streaky shooter.

If he gets hot then great we are in a for a good night.

If he comes out chucking bricks it wont be a pretty site the rest of the night.

You have to like the fact that OJ is serious enough about becoming a better player that he would facilitate his own assignment to a D-League team.

On a side note, is it true that OJ changed his shooting motion this season? I think I read it here. If yes, why? Last year didn't seem to have a problem with it and his shots were falling. If anything, this year was much much worse.

Orlando dominated in his 4 game stint there last year. It was a great boost for his confidence. Glad he wants to go back.

Yeah, Solomon Hill acted like he should immediately become the Mad Ants' Kobe Bryant just because he was drafted near the end of the first round by the Pacers.

Biggest thing we can gripe about with our rookies is them wanting to play in the D-League. NOT BAD. Could be a guy like Paul George riding the bench because Ji....nevermind.

Long way baby. I wish I'd bookmarked that Woj (I think, maybe Mannix) tweet about league people "shaking their head" about Vogel's promotion.

Not that I was on board. I was pissed Burke didn't get the job, who the hell's this Vogel dude?
