I doubt we can pry Mack away from the Browns, they're likely to match anything
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I saw a rumor online that Mack wants out of Cleveland bad and would be willing to sign a deal, for the right team, that's actually cheap in year one but structured in such a way that it'd be hard for Cleveland to keep him. But it's just a rumor and Cleveland's got a ton of money far as I know, don't see how it'd really be possible.

    Anyway;

So much for Glennon I guess. I don't think Glennon's a long term answer either but not even letting him compete with friggin Josh McCown?

So if we give Mack an offer, the Browns have 5 days to match. That could take us out of the running for other centers. Kinda risky.

Well I was looking forward to the season. Not excited about Glennon, but McCown? Really? Ugh.

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

Sounds rather desperate for the Pats

Time will tell if this will pan out for them or not.

If Talib is worth 9.5 million, 12M for Revis is a steal

    Nick Underhill ‏@Nick_Underhill 1m
Revis since 2010: 56 games, 223 targets, 100 receptions allowed for 1,334 yards.

    Nick Underhill ‏@Nick_Underhill 2m
Talib since 2010 (via @PFF): 56 games, 265 targets, 156 receptions allowed for 2,422 yards.

1 year that's how long he lasted with the Bucs course the Pats are a superior organization in comparison but I don't think he's the missing piece for the Pats either.

I also know if any team but the Pats (and Seahawks/Niners/ Broncos) signed him they would talk about what a bad move it was.

Wouldn't that allow us time to work on a trade for his rights?
If you get to thinkin’ you’re a person of some influence, try orderin’ somebody else’s dog around..

What do you think Plan B is? A rookie? Unlikely.

I don't know how that works in the NFL.

But they can always wait 5 days and then match the offer if they want. We can't force them to do a trade.

Dietrich-Smith, De la Puente. I'd be fine with either of them, not like the interior lineman market is moving at breakneck pace or anything.

Also Roger Saffold failed his physicl with the Raiders and his deal got voided. Which is a great thing for the Raiders, that deal was really dumb.

I don't know what the Colts have in mind, but they may not be interested in any other centers, may want to see how things play out with Holmes since they invested a pick and a year in him, easier to learn with game action than none. Also I like two of the draftable centers and one or both could be available when we pick. I wrote it somewhere that the majority of centers taken in the first two rounds, atleast for the past 5-6 years, have turned out to be really good besides like 2, and most started coming from college as well.

So I wouldn't say unlikely, I think there is some possibility.

Dietrich-Smith would be fine, but I'm good on De La Puente, what was Saffold's contract by the way? I wonder why he failed it...

That's what I'm thinking too. But I think they could be gone in 5 days.
