Browns signed S Donte Whitner for 4 years/$28 million. So the 49ers preferred Bethea to save just $500k a year?

Schefter's twitter feed is hilarious right now, it's like they fax the contracts to him the same time they send them to the league office

    Vontae back to indy
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Well that sure puts a dent in what we have to spend. Are we done? Can we work some kind of magic to get extra picks in the draft? Or maybe move up for an impact Center or receiver?
If you get to thinkin’ you’re a person of some influence, try orderin’ somebody else’s dog around..

9.75 a yr isn't too bad considering what the market was.

20 Mil guaranteed is a bit steep DAMN!

I think we still have ~20 mil in capspace.

I think that's too much for Davis, especially the guarantee, but it's not as bad as I thought I guess.

It kind of depends on how the guarantee is structured. If it's signing bonus or roster bonus, it's a big deal. If it's mostly base salary that is guaranteed in year 1 or year 2, I don't see that as nearly as much of a problem.

Fair price for Davis, he really blossomed in Indy. Getting out of Miami and going to a superior franchise was the best thing that ever happened to him. That trade is one of the best moves of the Grigs era.

Love the Arthur Jones signing. Pags just loves to raid the Ravens.

Glad Vinny will finish his career here, he was a monster last year. If he plays both years, he will have played as many years in Indy as he did in New England (10). With Bethea leaving the team, we only have three players left from the 06 championship team - Wayne, Mathis and Vinny.

Agree with Kid, I want to see some O-Line movement.

Offensive line is going to be difficult, there just aren't a ton of good people out there.
